Lovely from Jordan Cox. He has got the memo of getting on with it here.

One team needs to take a risk at this point and Cox seems to be the one doing that.

  3. 6 runs

Invincibles 77-2published at 39 balls left

A stroke of luck for Jordan Cox and the Invincibles could do with a bit more of that!

A short ball from David Willey, and it flies off the top edge for six.

As a spin bowler, you want to vary your pace so that you are not predictable. You bowl pace off so that the batter has to generate the force themselves.

And George Linde backs it up nicely with the ball.

Just three runs from his first five balls after a couple of ambitious swings and misses from Sam Curran, who is struggling to get going with seven from 12 balls.

Trent Rockets are trusting George Linde and his honesty and they have not gone upstairs. He said it took a bounce.

  7. Invincibles 67-2published at 45 balls left

    Target 172

    Oh, what an effort.

George Linde sprints in from the boundary and attempts to catch a ball that is dipping on him, and he is so close. It's one where you fear for his teeth as it drops short but he pouches it safely.

Jordan Cox responds by driving the next ball exquisitely past the bowler, Rehan Ahmed, for four.

  8. 6 runs

Invincibles 60-2published at 50 balls left

    Target 172

    My word.

He may be struggling but Jordan Cox is still able to charge down the pitch and launch the ball down the ground for six.

At the halfway mark, Invincibles need a further 112 to win.

That is much shorter from Marcus Stoinis and it was played nicely by Jordan Cox. He is still gripping his torso as he walks to the middle of the pitch.

  11. Invincibles 52-2published at 55 balls left

    Ouch.

There's a brief pause in play as Jordan Cox is pinned in the ribs by a Marcus Stoinis bouncer.

He's in considerable pain, but how does he respond? With an upper cut over the keeper for four, obviously.

You feel as though a lot depends on this partnership. Curran and Cox can sustain their batting for a long period of time.

Max Holden judged that well and Jacks' claggy innings comes to an end. Holden managed to get forward and get two hands on it.

Tawanda Muyeye was deceived by the knuckle ball from David Willey. He pulled out of the shot and the ball just stopped on him.

He skies it and what a simple catch.

    Muyeye c & b Willey 20 (Invincibles 33-0)

But David Willey wins the battle!

A perfectly-executed slower ball has Tawanda Muyeye in a right tangle and he top-edges straight up into the air. Willey takes the simplest of catches in his follow-through and Rockets end the powerplay on a high.

    Target 172

Tawanda Muyeye breaks the shackles with back-to-back boundaries off David Willey, thumping the first down the ground before striking the next through the covers.
