  2. Who can Surrey pick from?published at 21:16 British Summer Time 3 September

Result: Surrey beat Durham by five wickets

With international matches being played alongside this busy time for all three formats of county cricket, it is very hard to pick the Surrey side for their next match.

    Chris Jordan:

"We have used 24 players in this tournament already so no worries, we have plenty of depth, we will see who is available."

  3. Captains' thoughtspublished at 21:12 British Summer Time 3 September

Result: Surrey beat Durham by five wickets

Chris Jordan speaking to Nick Knight on Sky Sports:

"It has played very similar here throughout the year and luckily we had two quality bowlers here from the top who kept it simple right the way through."

"We definitely were not happy with the way we finished off our innings, but knowing how much better the wicket gets, offering us 160 we would have taken it."

    Alex Lees:

"That new ball spell was the difference in the game but ultimately we knew we were a little bit short."

"We have good strength in depth in our batting, but damage was done in that first six, Dan Worrall was like opening up in a Champo game there."

Chris Jordan does not need to bat, in truth Surrey had plenty more in the shed as well as the twelve balls they did not need use.

Who might come out of the England squad for Finals Day? Do Surrey change a winning team or may they use a Jamie Smith, Ollie Pope or Gus Atkinson on Saturday, 14 September.

There is a huge Championship match for the Champions at Taunton that same week beforehand too do not forget though, still plenty more cricket this season, do stay tuned to the BBC for Championship, T20 Blast, One-Day Cup and international cricket live texts over the coming three weeks.

  5. SURREY BEAT DURHAMpublished at 18 overs
    Breaking

Surrey (164-5) beat Durham (162-8) by five wickets

Jamie Overton is content to give the fans more value for money here, although some of those fans forget they are behind the bowler's arm in the batter's eyeline so we have a fair delay before we finally get there.

Overton then hits through backward point for four to seal it.

Twelve balls to spare, Surrey seal their spot at Edgbaston later this month.

  6. wicket

WICKET S Curran lbw b Raine 52published at 17.2 overs

    Surrey 160-4 v Durham 162-8

Plumb in front from a full and straight delivery.

Curran junior tried to finish that in style with a big heave over to the leg side attempted but that was well bowled by the Durham seamer.

Jamie Overton finally gets to face at least one ball in this match!

  7. Postpublished at 17.1 overs

    Surrey 159-4 v Durham 162-8

Tom Curran helps himself to four off Ben Raine and Surrey are now just one hit from Edgbaston.

  8. 50 runs

50 for Sam Curranpublished at 17 overs

    Surrey 155-4 v Durham 162-8

22nd 50 for Sam Curran in T20 cricket, his third of this Blast campaign.

Nearly into the Sky Sports pod, into the shorter boundary to finish Callum Parkinson's spell of 2-41.

Four sixes in his 33 ball knock.

  9. 'Joy to watch'published at 20:59 British Summer Time 3 September

    Surrey 148-4 v Durham 162-8

    Dan Whiting
    BBC Radio London

Dom Sibley getting a warm round of applause from the Oval crowd.

He was under a bit of pressure when he came in but he's kept a cool head and that innings was a joy to watch.

  10. wicket

WICKET Sibley b Parkinson 67published at 16.3 overs

    Surrey 148-4 v Durham 162-8

    No he cannot.

One keeps low next ball and Dom Sibley has to go, but do not take away what a brilliant, surely match-winning knock that is.

48 balls is all he needed for his 67 runs, Tom Curran now in to join his brother.

  11. Postpublished at 16.2 overs

    Surrey 148-4 v Durham 162-8

    Dom Sibley take a bow!

Six then four, he is doing his best to get Sam Curran in to the safety of the changing rooms, can he deprive his partner from even reaching 50?

  12. 'Sparked contest to life'published at 20:57 British Summer Time 3 September

    Surrey 138-3 v Durham 162-8

    Dan Whiting
    BBC Radio London

That has sparked this contest into life a little bit.

It takes two to tango in these types of situations doesn't it.

  13. Postpublished at 16 overs

    Surrey 138-3 v Durham 162-8

Dom Sibley is cool as a cucumber as ever, but even he cannot calm Sam Curran down who's overly pumped up here.

Curran is talked to by the umpires and Durham fielders trot off to get ready for the last over from Callum Parkinson.

His bat has done plenty of wonderful talking tonight, these verbals hopefully do not take away from his great ball-striking.

  14. Tempers flaringpublished at 15.3 overs

    Surrey 134-3 v Durham 162-8

Nathan Sowter bowls, Sam Curran charges, six runs and a few pints spilled in the Oval crowd failing in their attempts to catch it.

Sam Curran then is absolutely fuming, clearly swearing straight at the Durham fielder there, a nasty moment out of very little, Alex Lees simply trying to run Curran out having wandered out of his ground there.

Umpires try and calm Curran down but he is not having any of it, the crowd booing, wanting cricket to be concentrated on again.

  16. Surrey on coursepublished at 15 overs

    Surrey 127-3 v Durham 162-8

Durham fans have had a long week away from home, as have their players from leaving the north east last Wednesday, then going from Taunton to London for this game tonight.

Surrey are heavy favourites now with 36 more needed off 30 balls.

  17. 50 runs

50 for Dom Sibleypublished at 14.2 overs

    Surrey 123-3 v Durham 162-8

Brydon Carse starts with a no-ball.

Surrey gave Durham 13 extras, Durham have donated 14 already, with five overs still potentially to be bowled, could that be the difference?

Wow that is some shot from Dom Sibley to bring up his 50 with a scoop for six!

39 balls for 52 runs, Sibley always could play T20 cricket, good enough batters adapt to modern changes, great knock thus far.

  18. Postpublished at 14 overs

    Surrey 114-3 v Durham 162-8

Dom Sibley gives it an old fashioned heave down the ground for four.

Slower ball too obvious, picked up early by Sibley who is nearing an eighth T20 50.

Durham go back to Brydon Carse for his final over.

  19. 50 runs

    50 partnershippublished at 13.3 overs

    Surrey 108-3 v Durham 162-8

55 from 43 balls between one of many England pairs in this Surrey line-up.

They've put Surrey back in the driving seat.

  20. dropped catch

    Dropped catchpublished at 13.2 overs

    Surrey 107-3 v Durham 162-8

Bas de Leede is back, and this would have been a seriously impressive catch in his follow through first ball of the over.

He gets fingers to it, but not enough.

Then he gambles with a short ball, which seems daft to a man of Sam Curran's small stature, easy pickings for four.
