  1. Postpublished at 4 overs

    Surrey v Durham 14-2

Surrey very much on top here after four overs.

A wicket apiece for Dan Worrall and Reece Topley.

Can skipper Alex Lees and Colin Ackermann put together a partnership here?

    Durham certainly need them to.

  2. wicket

WICKET Robinson b Topley 1published at 18:15 British Summer Time 3 September

    Surrey v Durham 12-2

    Gone.

Ollie Robinson tries a third heave and this time he doesn't get lucky as the ball clatters his stumps.

He may have got an inside edge but no matter really, Durham are two down and really struggling to get bat on ball.

    Colin Ackermann comes in.

  3. Burns 'stood a long way back'published at 18:14 British Summer Time 3 September

    Surrey v Durham 12-1

    Dan Whiting
    BBC Radio London

There's been decent carry here at the Oval all year.

Rory Burns is stood a long way back keeping to Reece Topley.

We are in a perfect position here right behind the bowler's arm.

  4. Postpublished at 3.2 overs

    Surrey v Durham 12-1

A BIG old swing and a miss from Ollie Robinson off Reece Topley's delivery.

Luckily for him it goes over, rather than into the stumps.

Robinson tries to get Topley away again next ball but again he is unable.

It's a slow start from Durham.

  5. Postpublished at 3 overs

    Surrey v Durham 12-1

Ollie Robinson finally gets off the mark with his seventh ball and Alex Lees will face the last ball of the over...

It's another beauty from Worrall and Lees won't be scoring off that one.

  6. Postpublished at 2.2 overs

    Surrey v Durham 10-1

Surrey's Dan Worrall is back on for his second over and he's already causing problems!

A ball rasps back into Alex Lees' body but scuttles away for four leg byes to take the visitors into double figures.

  7. Postpublished at 2 overs

    Surrey v Durham 6-1

The lbw shouts go up from a Reece Topley ball which hits Ollie Robinson on the pads but nothing doing from the umpire.

Another dot ball ends the over with Durham 6-1.

  8. Postpublished at 1.3 overs

    Surrey v Durham 6-1

The first over definitely went in Surrey' favour with Durham 1-1, but Alex Lees has just struck the first boundary with the second ball of the second over.

England left-armer Reece Topley is the man now steaming in for Surrey.

  9. wicket

WICKET Clark c Jordan b Worrall 0published at 0.5 overs

    Surrey v Durham 1-1

Graham Clark didn't ever really look comfortable and he's gone already - he didn't get hold of that Worrall ball and it gives Chris Jordan an easy catch.

  10. Postpublished at 0.4 overs

    Surrey v Durham 0-0

Dan Worrall's first three ball all beat the bat and slide straight on through behind.

Graham Clark yet to get off the mark but Worrall's fourth ball is a wide so at least Durham have a run now!

  11. 'So much international experience'published at 18:02 British Summer Time 3 September

    Surrey v Durham 0-0

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

You look at that Surrey team, it has so much international experience in there.

It's the England A and B team all rolled into one.

Nine of the Surrey 11 have played for their country!

  12. Start of playpublished at 18:00 British Summer Time 3 September

    Surrey v Durham (18:00 BST)

It'll be Graham Clark and Alex Lees opening the batting for the visitors from the north east of England.

Dan Worrall to bowl the first over.

    Surrey v Durham (18:00 BST)

Here come the teams amid a fair few fireworks!

Lovely evening at the Oval and we're almost ready for the action to start.

  14. Free hit for Durham?published at 17:58 British Summer Time 3 September

    Surrey v Durham (18:00 BST)

I saw some quotes before the game in which Durham head coach Ryan Campbell described facing Surrey as "a free hit".

"There is an expectation that Surrey are the best team, but we have the belief inside our walls and that is very clear to see and we won’t take a backward step and that is what I love about this group," he told the club website.

Whether it's taking pressure off his own players or talking up Surrey's quality in the hope some complacency might slip in, might it help underdogs Durham have their day?

  15. Durham searching for first T20 titlepublished at 17:56 British Summer Time 3 September

Durham are among the teams to have never won the T20 Blast.

They have made it to Finals Day twice - in 2008 when they lost in the semi-finals - and their best performance in the competition came in 2016 when they reached the final but finished as runners-up to Northants.

Durham finished fourth in this year's North Group, winning seven of their 14 matches, to pip Leicestershire to a spot in the quarters.

  16. Surrey's starry side eyeing a tilt at titlepublished at 17:53 British Summer Time 3 September

For all their red ball domination in recent times, Surrey have not been able to gain the same level of superiority in the white ball game.

After winning the first T20 Blast in 2003 Surrey have not got their hands on the trophy again despite several appearances at Finals Day - including last year when they were knocked out in the semi-finals.

This year, they topped the South Group of the competition with nine wins from 14 matches and have the sort of strong squad to choose from that should put them in consideration for a serious tilt at that elusive second title.
