Sadia 'completely bamboozles' Pratika with 'brilliant delivery'

    Bowled 'er!

Brilliant bowling from Sadia Iqbal, getting Pratika Rawal with a Linsey Smith-style delivery that drifts in so much it is essentially an in-swinger.

Pratika had been trying to cut the ball away throughout the over, finally got one through the ball before, but went again and was done by the drift back in.

    Another big wicket for Pakistan.

Facing off-spin is Harleen Deol's big strength. She averages more against that style of bowling (67) than any other.

  4. Ind 63-1published at 14 overs

Credit to Rameen Shamim as she doesn't let that six get to her and reels off five dot balls after that to finish the over.

That six from Harleen Deol clearly reflects what was said in the drinks break - don't let the Pakistan bowlers get on top here.

    What a start after drinks!

First ball after the interval and Harleen Deol skips down and hammers Rameen Shamim high over deep mid-wicket for six.

The start of India's innings has not been as explosive as we have seen but there are punchier players to come.

Pakistan need to just contain this partnership for now.

  8. Ind 57-1published at 13 overs

Sadia Iqbal returns after an expensive first over and this is a much better set.

A couple of singles from it and it's time for drinks. Nicely poised at this stage.

  9. Ind 55-1published at 12 overs

Another good over for Pakistan as Rameen Shamim races through another over with just a single from it.

India's run-rate was well above six at one stage, it's now down to about four-and-a-half-an-over.

India will be hoping to get way over 250 here.

With a big total, batters feel pressure coming in for the second innings especially if they are trying to keep up with DLS. It forces risky play.

  11. Ind 54-1published at 11 overs

Maiden over from Fatima Sana, the Pakistan skipper has led the way in helping to drag down the India run-rate in the past few overs.

She nips one back to end the over and finds Harleen Deol's inside edge but the ball bounces just short of the wicketkeeper.

This game has suddenly become very interesting. At one point, it looked like it was going to be one-sided and all India but it is bringing intrigue.

It will be interesting to see how the spinners will operate. I'm not sure they will get much turn but that might change as the pitch gets drier.

  14. Ind 54-1published at 10 overs

Harleen Deol is the new batter for India and she gets off the mark with a boundary first ball.

She couldn't have asked for a better delivery to get her up and running - a short, slow wide one from off-spinner Rameen Shamim and she cuts it away with ease.

Powerplay done and India, despite losing Smriti Mandhana in the previous over, are going along well.

That's the first time Fatima Sana has dismissed Smriti Mandhana in international cricket. Mandhana was averaging 59 against right-arm pace before that in ODIs.

Fatima Sana deserved that one. That was such a crucial partnership to break and a very good decision by the umpire in the end.

'Beautiful delivery!' - Fatima dismisses Mandhana lbw for 23

Pitching in line and crashing into leg stump!

Superb delivery from Pakistan captain Fatima Sana. Over the wicket to the left-handed Smriti Mandhana, pitching on leg and then straightening off the seam.

It did just enough to beat Mandhana's bat and it looked a good shout. Good decision by the umpire and India's star opener has to go.

Initially, it looked straighter but I would still question whether it pitched in-line.

  19. India reviewpublished at 9 overs

    Ind 48-0

    This is close!

Fatima Sana raps Smriti Mandhana on the front pad and this time the umpire's finger goes up.

India review but this one looks a lot closer than the previous lbw shout.

  20. Ind 46-0published at 8.3 overs

Run out chance as Pratika Rawal calls for a quick single after an inside edge into the leg side.

She puts in the dive at the non-striker's end but would have been well gone with a direct hit.

No wonder she offers an apology to Smriti Mandhana after dusting herself down. That was completely unnecessary.
