Shall we have a 10-over powerplay worm? Of course!

They have barely left each other alone so far.

54-2 is a decent powerplay for New Zealand.

237 was always a gettable target.

  3. NZ 54-2published at 10 overs

Bangladesh's fielders have been very busy so far, making a number of fielding saves in the ring field.

Jaker Ali has just left the field after landing awkwardly on the ball and has been replaced by substitute fielder Soumya Sarkar.

Five runs come from the over in total.

  4. NZ 53-2published at 9.3 overs

Rachin Ravindra moves into the 20s with another cover drive

Width offered from Mustafizur and Ravindra gladly accepts.

  5. NZ 49-2published at 9 overs

Nine runs come from the first over of spin in the innings.

It will be a double change here, with Mustafizur Rahman replacing fellow quick Nahid Rana at the other end.

  6. NZ 49-2published at 8.4 overs

Devon Conway gets in on the act, with four of his own against the spin of Mehidy Hasan Miraz.

Conway steps back into his crease before thumping behind point and to the boundary.

If Bangladesh can grab two more wickets in the next five overs, this match against New Zealand could get really exciting.

  8. NZ 44-2published at 8.1 overs

Rachin Ravindra takes on the spin at his first chance.

No fielder at short third man comes back to haunt Bangladesh, as there would've been a catching chance.

    Another New Zealand boundary.

Nahid Rana getting his timing wrong.

Losing his line and you cannot bowl there to Devon Conway.

Rana has been a bit spray gun in this over. This will be infuriating for the captain Najmul Hossain Shanto.

  10. NZ 40-2published at 8 overs

Three fours in an over from Devon Conway.

Yet another cover drive from the opener who scores all 12 of New Zealand's runs in that over.

Now for a bit of spin in the form of Mehidy Hasan Miraz.

  11. NZ 36-2published at 7.4 overs

    Four more for Devon Conway.

A calm drive goes back past bowler Nahid Rana and the ball just glides down the ground before cushioning into the sponge.

  12. NZ 32-2published at 7.3 overs

Devon Conway will not pass up on chances like that.

Nahid Rana goes across him and strays towards the leg side.

With a flick of the wrists, Conway helps it on its way for four.

That was a top shot and it wasn't that bad of a ball.

A high quality shot from Rachin Ravindra. Not an easy shot on a wicket with pace.

  14. NZ 28-2published at 7 overs

A move to around the wicket midway through the over brings more success against Rachin Ravindra for Taskin Ahmed.

Taskin beats the bat with one delivery and almost forces a catch at short cover with the next.

Ravindra does then get the better of Taskin third time around, cover driving once more for another four.

Rachin Ravindra is a classy player. He looks an organised player and he is very unorthodox.

    He is very dangerous.

  16. NZ 24-2published at 6.1 overs

Rachin Ravindra opens the over with a lovely cover drive for four off the bowling of Taskin Ahmed.

Even with those early wickets, New Zealand have plenty of quality batting in their line-up and Bangladesh will have to continute taking quick wickets in order to make things difficult.

And you can see that wicket here...

  18. NZ 20-2published at 6 overs

Just a single comes from the third over of the day from Nahid Rana, who himself is 1-12 from three overs.

Taskin Ahmed will continue from the other end and in his first over today, he claimed the wicket of Will Young.

  19. NZ 19-2published at 5.3 overs

Three more dot balls for Bangladesh with Nahid Rana's pace causing some issues for Rachin Ravindra.

The latest forces an inside edge from Ravindra, who almost chops onto his own stumps.

  20. NZ 19-2published at 5 overs

A maiden over from Taskin Ahmed, who is currently 1-8 after three overs.

He and Nahid Rana are both bowling rather well under the lights in Rawalpindi at present.
