  1. Nep 20-2published at 4 overs

    Target 107

And a miscued pull shot evades the fielder again! This is hostile bowling from Taskin, creating plenty of chances but nothing going to hand.

Every run is precious for Nepal in this low run chase - and four of them even more so, as Aasif Sheikh slashes a wide one through the covers.

  2. Nep 15-2published at 3.2 overs

Oh! What a start to the fourth over.

Taskin Ahmed bowls a wide, is driven for four, and then bowls a beauty that takes the outside edge of Aasif Sheikh's bat but just evades a dive from the fielder at slip.

This is exactly the start that Bangladesh will have wanted.

Nepal are going to have to work hard for their runs and suddenly that 107 looks a long way away.

  4. Nep 9-2published at 3 overs

    Target 107

Two slips in now! Bangladesh are on the charge, and why not. Wickets are the only way they're winning this but they've made a great start.

A double-wicket maiden from Tanzim Hasan! Incredible scenes from the lively quick bowler.

    Sah c Shanto b Tanzim 0 (Nep 9-2)

    Oh dear, oh dear...

Anil Sah was pinned on the shoulder by some sharp bounce first ball, which may have been playing on his mind with this dismissal. Tanzim Hasan goes fuller, tempts the batter into a big drive which skews up to Najmul Hossain Shanto for a simple catch at mid-off.

I think we're in for a thriller, folks!

That is a big wicket for Bangladesh. It is exactly they required early on.

The early wicket that Bangladesh desperately needed! The full toss does the trick for Tanzim Hasan.

Kushal Bhurtel takes a big swish at it, but the ball swings late and with no footwork, he completely misses and loses his off stump.

Tanzim wheels away in celebration and Bangladesh have a big boost.

Taskin Ahmed got a little bit greedy there.

  10. Nep 9-0published at 2 overs

    Target 107

    Five dots, and a boundary.

Aasif Sheikh recovers from the knock to the head well enough to spoil Taskin Ahmed's good start, pulling the last ball of the over for four.

There are some demons in this pitch - 106 might turn out to be a decent total.

  12. ouch!

    Nep 5-0published at 1.3 overs

    Nasty.

Taskin Ahmed is a fine bowler. A short ball pins Aasif Sheikh on the helmet. He's OK, but goes through the mandatory concussion checks as is the procedure.

There is plenty in this pitch. 107 won't be easy!

This is a very, very tense game.

  14. Nep 5-0published at 1 over

    Target 107

Good pace, seam movement and swing for Tanzim Hasan, who was unlucky to concede that first boundary.

Nepal did the damage through their spinners but Bangladesh's strength is their pace attack so it'll be interesting to see how they differentiate.

  15. Nep 4-0published at 0.1 overs

    Cheers, Callum.

Well, Nepal start with a boundary but Khushal Bhurtel didn't know much about it! It's a beauty from Tanzim Hasan that slices the batter in half but the inside edge beats the keeper.

If Nepal win this it will be their first victory over a Test-playing nation in a T20 World Cup. Afghanistan were still an Associate nation when Nepal beat them in 2014.

Bangladesh have got the bowlers to defend this, they have been in good form and the pitch is assisting them.

But that was such an impressive performance from Nepal. They were on it from ball one, and never let Bangladesh get away from them.

Another impressive bit of fielding. A few handy runs at the end gives Bangladesh some hope but it's been all about Nepal.
