  1. Eng 779-5published at 144.3 overs

If I had to guess, I'd say England will declare with half an hour to go before tea. If that's the case Harry Brook would have 45 minutes of batting - about eight or nine overs - to add to his total.

Len Hutton's 364 is the record score by an England batter - Brian Lara's 400 the all-time high.

Who knows? England might want to give him longer.

Ben Stokes is one of the drinks carriers. He will be relaying some kind of message regarding declaration as well as congratulations to Harry Brook.

But there's no movement from the England balcony yet.

Brian Lara might be a touch nervous at the moment. This has been masterful from Harry Brook.

Most of the focus has been inevitably on Joe Root, but what a contribution this is from Harry Brook.

300 for Harry Brookpublished at 143.3 overs

Biffed down the ground! 302 from 310 balls for Harry Brook.

He's the first man to score a Test triple century for England for 34 years and only the sixth ever.

  10. Eng 767-4published at 143 overs

    Brook 298, Smith 27

I'm running out of ways to tell you the ball has been smashed to the boundary. Jamie Smith is the latest to test my vocabulary.

Is this the over for Harry Brook's 300?

It was one like the Chris Woakes effort. Fair play, it was a very good effort that from the substitute Mohammad Huraira. But it rather sums up Pakistan's day.

  12. dropped catch

Smith dropped on 20published at 142.1 overs

Jamie Smith is dropped for a second time.

In fairness this is a decent effort with the sub fielder out at deep square leg failing to manage one of those catches where you through it back up to yourself after tumbling over the boundary.

We can stop looking at those partnership records now but the team totals and individual scores are still very much in play. Although, Harry Brook still has some way to go to match any of these...

Fast bowler Naseem Shah is back and Harry Brook just munches him over extra cover for my favourite shot of the day.

    He's up to 290 now.

Harry Brook has now scored England's highest Test score against Pakistan. Denis Compton, who made 278 at Trent Bridge in 1954, has been booted out of the record books for this one.

At the top is Len Hutton's 364 which is starting to look a little vulnerable.
