Toby Albert moves to 65* from 40 balls with a single off Ben Green before Benny Howell picks up a couple to reach 6* from eight deliveries.

The fourth ball is full and on middle stump but Albert adjusts incredibly to keep his balance and clip away over backward point for a boundary.

He follows it up with another reverse off a yorker which finds the rope again, much to Green's disgust.

A single off the last ball make it 13 off the over, just what the Hawks wanted.

    Albert has 74* from 43.

  2. Postpublished at 15 overs

    Somerset v Hampshire 136-3

Lewis Gregory beats the bat of Toby Albert to start his third over.

A couple of singles follow before Benny Howell sets off tentatively for a single off the bat of Albert and is fortunate to see the throw flash past the stumps with him struggling to make his ground.

Four off the Gregory over and Hampshire are 31-2 off the past 31 balls.

They have been pegged back superbly.

Somerset are just clawing their way back into this game but there is still a long way to go.

  4. Postpublished at 14 overs

    Somerset v Hampshire 132-3

A fine sliding stop from Craig Overton saves three runs at the deep mid-wicket boundary - those have really dried up in the middle overs, credit to the Somerset bowlers for that.

That's six off the over and Lewis Goldsworthy finishes with 1-28 off his four overs.

The run-rate was about 14 at one stage, it's now nearly nine an over.

James Fuller is done by the fight of the delivery.

Somerset really have turned the screw since the powerplay.

There have been some spectacular catches today, most of them by Somerset, and that might be the pick of the lot.

    Fuller c&b Ball 1 - Somerset v Hampshire 126-3

Jake Ball bowls the 13th over with Toby Albert moving to 58* and James Fuller getting off the mark with a scampered single.

Ball then takes the pace off and gets Fuller to pop it back up the track for him to take a super diving catch to his right.

Five off the over and a wicket.

Benny Howell is the new batter.

    Somerset v Hampshire 121-2

    Steven Finn

It felt like something was going to give with these two, they were getting increasingly frustrated with the way that Somerset were bowling.

The way that Somerset have bowled since the powerplay - although it will be frustrating for the Hampshire batters now - their bowlers should be watching this and learning about what to implement in the second innings on this surface.

  10. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 12 overs

    Vince c Dickson b Goldsworthy 52 - Somerset v Hampshire 121-2

James Vince has to go on 52 from 34 balls, trying to pull Lewis Goldsworthy over the deep square leg boundary for six, only for Sean Dickson to take a good catch inside the rope.

James Fuller has been promoted up the order to bat at four.

That was James Vince's 15th innings on Finals Day, just the third time he's made 50.

    His highest score is 69.

This is really good batting from the both of them. They're setting the team up for a really big score if they can continue this.

  13. 50 runs

for Toby Albert and James Vincepublished at 11.1 overs

    Somerset v Hampshire 119-1

Toby Albert does it with a four which is misfielded over the rope at deep-midwicket from 29 balls before James Vince does it two balls later from 31.

  14. Postpublished at 11 overs

    Somerset v Hampshire 112-1

Ben Green continues and continues to vary his deliveries to good effect too.

He allows just four scoring shots and five runs off the over.

James Vince is one away from a half-century, Toby Albert has 48*.

  15. Postpublished at 10 overs

    Somerset v Hampshire 107-1

Good stuff from Lewis Goldsworthy, consistently getting it in the right areas and making it hard to get off the square.

Just four off the over with James Vince on 47*, two more than Toby Albert.

We're halfway there, Somerset living on a prayer?

  16. Postpublished at 9 overs

    Somerset v Hampshire 103-1

James Vince picks up a streaky four with an outside edge through the vacant slips off Lewis Gregory's first ball to move to 43* but can't time the next two before Gregory strays down leg side for a wide.

Another mis-cue draws another precious dot ball for Somerset before a swing and miss at a wide ball, which Vince wanted called as a wide, and which was not.

A single to mid-wicket sees Tom Abell slip again, but he bounces up.

Six off the over. Somerset reigning the Hawks back in ever so slightly.

    Lewis Goldsworthy continues.

  17. 'Hampshire hold all aces at the moment'published at 19:33 BST 13 September

    Somerset v Hampshire 97-1

    Steven Finn
Former England fast bowler on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

You have to get a flyer in the batting team. Somerset will have to rely on someone like Tom Kohler-Cadmore playing an innings like he did in the first game.

Certainly Hampshire hold all aces at the moment, heaping the pressure on Somerset.

The solace for Somerset is that if they take a wicket here then they can put pressure on Ben Mayes and Ali Orr. It's a young middle order.

This is the sixth time that these sides have met on Finals Day.

The tally is Hampshire 3-2 Somerset, with Hampshire winning the big one, the final back in 2010.

  19. Postpublished at 8 overs

    Somerset v Hampshire 97-1

Left-arm spinner Lewis Goldsworthy whips a couple of balls in for singles before James Vince steps back and launches an effortless ball over the covers, dissecting two fielders in the deep for a one-bounce four. Glorious stroke. Tom Abell is limping slightly after losing that chase for the ball too. Something to monitor.

Nine off the over in total. Vince has 39* from 20 balls with Toby Albert 44* from 21.

Lewis Gregory returns to the attack.

  20. Postpublished at 7 overs

    Somerset v Hampshire 88-1

Stroke of luck for Toby Albert as Ben Green takes the pace off and Albert lofts just short of Tom Kohler-Cadmore running in from long-off.

Good stuff from Green, mixing up speed and lengths to keep these batters guessing, and just five runs come from it.

Lewis Goldsworthy has been thrown the ball at the other end.
