    Yep, gone.

Smart catch, take a few steps and snaffling the ball.

Charlie Dean has two wickets in the over, both off reverse sweeps.

  2. Umpire reviewpublished at 4.5 overs

A second wicket in the over?

Sarah Glenn gobbles up Suzie Bates' reverse sweep flick on the dive.

The umpires decide to check if the catch was taken cleanly.

Charlie Dean very rarely misses, she's always targetting the stumps.

The finger almost went up before the appeal!

  5. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 4.1 overs

    Halliday lbw b Dean 14 (NZ 28-3)

Charlie Dean has a wicket with her first ball!

Brooke Halliday attempts the reverse sweep and she's struck low on the pad right in front. New Zealand try a speculative appeal, but it's very much out.

An impressive cameo from Halliday comes to an end, she had 14 from nine balls.

You always know when Nat Sciver-Brunt thinks she should have taken it because she acts dead. She lies down like she isn't there.

    Sophie Ecclestone will be ticking.

She sees Capsey fumble her pick-up at backward square to allow a second run, before Nat Sciver-Brunt spills a catch on the long-on boundary.

The England all-rounder didn't have to move much to meet Brooke Halliday's shot and went to take the catch above her head, but the ball slipped from her hands and an attempt at a recovery grab was unsuccessful.

And to make matters worse, the ball dropped over the boundary ropes for six.

You would say this is game over already. I was thinking it as soon as Sophie Devine was out.

  9. NZ 16-2published at 3 overs

    Need 74 from 36 balls

Superb shot from new batter Brooke Halliday, making room to drive Sciver-Brunt uppishly through the covers.

Three England fielders sprint after it, but their chase is in vain, with the ball crossing the ropes.

That's the end of the powerplay, and having started needing ten an over, New Zealand are behind the rate.

This is what I had concerns about. Amelia Kerr was trying to create a strike-rate and she's just picked out the fielder. She's at her best in the middle of the innings when she can manipulate the field. Using her in the powerplay doesn't feel like the best use of her.

  11. wicket

    A Kerr c Capsey b Sciver-Brunt 2 (NZ 12-2)

    Another grab for Capsey!

It's Amelia Kerr that's heading for the pavilion, trying to whip the ball away into the leg side and offering a chance to England's 19-year-old star, who takes the catch diving to her right.

I remember seeing Lauren Bell here at KSL finals day here about five or six years ago and she just has an action where you think 'hmm, we're going to be seeing more of you'.

She's got a way to go but she's got all the ingredients. She's got height, the ability to move the ball and she's shown good composure here.

  13. NZ 12-1published at 2 overs

    Target 90

Amelia Kerr is next up for New Zealand, she drops a single straight away, easily beating Bell's throw back to the bowler's end.

That is great composure from Alice Capsey because you would expect that to rocket at you at shoulder or head height.

Lauren Bell can barely believe it after being smacked for four and that wide that she's got that wicket. It was nonchalantly taken from Alice Capsey.

Much better from Bell - she has the wicket of Sophie Devine!

The New Zealand captain cracks a pull shot straight into the hands of Alice Capsey at mid-on.

She didn't really have room to play the shot.

  18. NZ 11-0published at 1.3 overs

Lauren Bell at the other end for England. She sends a mega-wide down the leg side that Amy Jones gathers impressively, before dropping in a bouncer that Sophie Devine cuts uppishly over the ring for four.

Nat Sciver-Brunt just got a little straight with her line. That is the power that Sophie Devine possesses.

  20. NZ 6-0published at 1 over

    Almost six for Sophie Devine!

She heaves the fourth delivery of the over square, the ball plugging just short of the boundary rope and then popping over.

The New Zealand captain then skews an edge in the air, but the ball drops just short of third.
