  1. 'Interruptions almost certain'published at 11:55 British Summer Time 10 September

    Leics 285-4 v Glos 482

    Richard Rae
    BBC Radio Leicester Sport

I'm afraid that we will not get through the rest of the day without interruptions, almost certainly, judging by the forecast.

  2. Postpublished at 72.2 overs

    Leics 284-4 v Glos 482

    Interesting.

Gloucestershire call up Matt Taylor and Stevie Eskinazi meets his second delivery two steps down the pitch and deposits it over mid-wicket for four. He goes to 21 not out.

  3. Postpublished at 11:53 British Summer Time 10 September

    Worcs 182 & 137-7 v Notts 207

    Single to Gareth Roderick.

Ominous clouds are sadly gathering around New Road.

Tom Taylor plays and misses a pull shot. Too early!

The ball rolls on the floor to the keeper.

Taylor cuts but is picked up at extra cover.

He gets a single off the fifth ball Roderick is on the back foot, guiding the last ball through point for one.

  4. Postpublished at 11:52 British Summer Time 10 September

    Essex 358-5 v Durham 333

After 13 balls without scoring, Michael Pepper gets off the mark with a glorious cover drive off Sam Conners, the first bowling change of the morning.

Noah Thain is at the other end as Essex seek to find a way of rattling off the runs required for a fourth batting point, which might prove crucial.

  5. Division Two updatepublished at 11:49 British Summer Time 10 September

    Kent 293 & 117-2 v Lancashire 284

We're back under way and Jaydn Denly has moved to 72* with a leg-side glance for four off Will Williams. The lead is 126.

But they are now two-down, after picking up a couple earlier in the over, Denly has been beaten by one which nipped back from Tom Bailey, losing his off stump and departs for 74.

Joey Evison joins Ekansh Singh in the middle.

It remains to be seen whether Ben Compton will bat, and where concussion sub Joe Denly will bat in the order.

  6. Latest from Tauntonpublished at 11:48 British Summer Time 10 September

    Somerset 441-6 v Yorkshire

The rain has stopped at the County Ground and the covers are being removed in the hope of resuming the match at 12:10.

You would assume Somerset will be looking to declare at some point, unless Yorkshire can pick up these last four wickets.

  7. Postpublished at 11:48 British Summer Time 10 September

    Worcs 182 & 134-7 v Notts 207

Lyndon James is looking for his fifth wicket of the innings and Gareth Roderick blocks him down the ground.

Roderick is forward to one ball and gets a thick outside edge into the off side which rolls safely to third slip.

The next ball is turned to mid wicket for one.

Leg side again and Tom Taylor whips the ball away for two.

  8. 'Both the protagonists go in quick succession'published at 11:47 British Summer Time 10 September

    Essex 354-4 v Durham 333

    Nick Gledhill
    BBC Essex

As often happens with big partnerships, both the protagonists go in quick succession.

Now perhaps it's a little bit less likely that Essex will get another batting point and maybe more likely that Durham will get one themselves.

  9. Still raining at Northamptonpublished at 11:45 British Summer Time 10 September

    Glamorgan 467 v Northants 309-5

Lunch will be taken at 12.30. Indoors, hopefully.

  10. Postpublished at 69 overs

    Leics 270-4 v Glos 482

Ten overs have been lost from the day's allocation because of the rain which prevented a prompt start at Grace Road.

Division Two leaders Leicestershire have another 41 available to try and add some batting bonus points to their tally.

Shan Masood will face Ollie Price, on 80 not out.

  11. Postpublished at 11:44 British Summer Time 10 September

    Worcs 182 & 130-7 v Notts 207

Dillion Pennington gets the ball to nip away from Gareth Roderick but that ball is left alone safely.

He is squared up and close to edging the second ball though.

How many runs would make for a testing target? Surely more than the current lead of 101.

Pennington drifts down the leg side and runs off the thigh pad for four leg byes.

    105 ahead.

    Critchley lbw b Potts 129 - Essex 354-5 v Durham 333

We've had a brief delay for a change of ball, which has been getting some treatment from Matt Critchley, in particular, not helped by the soggy conditions across the boundary rope.

Critchley wastes no time in cracking the the new 19-old ball through the covers off Matt Potts for four to move to 129*. That's his 17th boundary, with a six to boot.

It's his last though, Potts responds by shaping one in to the right-hander as he steps across his stumps, beating the bat and thudding the pads. He's out lbw.

Durham need one more for a second bowling point.

Big swing in the past 10 minutes, on the pitch and in the context of the game.

  13. Postpublished at 11:41 British Summer Time 10 September

    Worcs 182 & 126-7 v Notts 207

Lyndon James to continue. He has busted this game wide open this morning.

A bit of luck with a short and wide one to dispatch Ethan Brookes but that Matthew Waite wicket was a great ball, pitching on middle and seaming a touch to off.

Gareth Roderick thinks he's edged the ball as he appeared to be on his way off the square! Not out.

He gets a single nudged to the leg side.

  14. 11:45 BST resumption at Canterburypublished at 11:37 British Summer Time 10 September

    Kent 293 & 110-1 v Lancashire 284

Play will restart at 11:45 if there is no further weather interruption at Canterbury.

Five overs have been lost, meaning we will have 84.3 overs remaining in the day's play.

  15. Division Two updatepublished at 11:36 British Summer Time 10 September

Leicestershire are due to resume their game against Gloucestershire at 11:40 if there is no further rain.....the exact same time that an inspection will be carried out at Lord's, where we had a brief spell of play at the start of the morning between Middlesex and Derbyshire.

  16. Postpublished at 11:36 British Summer Time 10 September

    Worcs 182 & 125-7 v Notts 207

Can Notts wrap it up from here? It would be a cruel twist of fate if the weather intervened now.

Dillon Pennington bowls short and Tom Taylor cuts to point for no run.

Pennington bowls length but it is a bit wide and Taylor leaves it.

Short again and Tom Taylor smacks the ball over mid on for four.

A bit of an ugly shot but plenty of power.

That takes the lead up to 100.

  17. 350 up for Essexpublished at 11:34 British Summer Time 10 September

    Essex 350-4 v Durham 333

Matt Critchley picks up a single off Ben Raine's opening delivery of his latest over to bring up the 350 and move to 125*.

That run ensures the bonus point which takes Essex 15 points ahead of Durham in the live table.

They need 50 more runs from just under 12 overs to make that 16. Durham can answer back with two... or even five wickets of their own in that time.

  18. Postpublished at 11:32 British Summer Time 10 September

    Worcs 182 & 121-7 v Notts 207

Lyndon James goes full and Tom Taylor safely drives for no run.

    Hat trick averted.

James gets one to really fizz past the outside edge and this is a very tense passage of play.

Taylor works the last ball away leg side for one.

    Worcester led by only 98.

    Waite lbw James 0 (Worcs 182 & 120-7 v Notts 207)

    First ball!

Matthew Waite is pinned LBW by Lyndon James - who is on a hat trick!

    Over to Tom Taylor.

  20. 'A vital breakthrough for Nottinghamshire'published at 11:29 British Summer Time 10 September

    Worcs 182 & 120-6 v Notts 207

    Jim Dale
    BBC Hereford and Worcester

That's a vital breakthrough for Nottinghamshire. It was a wide delivery, it started wide and went even wider and he couldn't have offered up an easier catch.

Ethan Brookes will be absolutely heartbroken with that. He was set and doing a good job for his side but he has to go.
