Phil Salt is caught but I am pretty sure Kwena Maphaka has stood on the boundary sponge!

    Lost his touch, you say?

Phil Salt does his best to make me look silly by timing the ball over long-off for a glorious six.

It's a horrible place to be when you're fielding and the bowlers are getting smashed.

You don't want it to come to you and drop one to add to the woe.

  4. Eng 268-2published at 18 overs

    Salt 120, Brook 28

Phil Salt now has that highest T20 score for England's men while this is now England's highest total in T20s.

  5. Eng 267-2published at 17.4 overs

Phil Salt has just lost his rhythm a touch but he has now equaled his own record.

  6. Eng 264-2published at 17.3 overs

Kwena Maphaka has 0-37 from 3.3 overs and I think he's bowled pretty well.

  7. Eng 260-2published at 17 overs

    Salt 114, Brook 27

Phil Salt is chuntering to himself on the rare occasions he fails to find the boundary. You can hear every groan on the stump mic.

He is already the holder of England's highest men's T20 score, 119 against West Indies. He now has four international T20 hundreds. Only Glenn Maxwell and Rohit Sharma have more.

England just keep finding ways, but I don't think South Africa have bowled as well as they could have.

Their plans seem to have gone out the window.

Back-to-back sixes for Harry Brook! One of the drive, another on the scoop.

  11. Eng 248-2published at 16.1 overs

Remember England's highest T20 score is 267. Only two men's teams have made 300 - Zimbabwe against Gambia and Nepal against Mongolia.

Brook starts the final four overs by squeezing a four through gully.

You have to admire this hitting from Phil Salt...

Everything South Africa have tried tonight, England have found an answer.

And now Harry Brook plays the tumbling Rishabh Pant scoop. I think he gloves it but it's still four over the keeper's shoulder.

  15. Eng 239-2published at 15.4 overs

There we go. Harry Brook finds the middle with a flashing drive for four.

  16. Eng 235-2published at 15.3 overs

Harry Brook has done a lot of swinging and missing in his first five balls.

    Anon sits even more comfortably.

There's no edge or glove and Harry Brook's butt was in his crease.

    That's South Africa's review gone.

  19. South Africa reviewpublished at 19:45 BST

South Africa are appealing for something but I have no idea what.

They tried to stump Harry Brook, who fell over playing a scoop, but it may be for a catch.

Very nice ball from Fortuin there.

He took all the pace out of it which made it hard for Jacob Bethell.
