Perhaps this phenomenal win represents a turning of the tide here for Pakistan. They have underperformed at World Cups. It's been a long time they have beaten what you call a big team!

Fatima Sana picks up a stump out of the ground and waves it around. It lights up almost like a lightsaber. Pakistan have managed their resources really well. It's a massive defeat for Sri Lanka and a massive win for Pakistan.

Final batter Udeshika Prabodhani denies Fatima a wicket-maiden to close the match, moving the ball to point for a single.

Priyadharshani then lefts the final ball of the innings for a single into mid-wicket.

That's the match, and a comprehensive victory for Pakistan.

What a funny dismissal that is! That was not a pretty bit of batting from Sachini Nisansala.

    Nisansala c Muneeba b Fatima 3 (SL 83-9)

Nisansala only survives for another two balls.

She attempts a delicates scoop, and only manages to ramp the ball straight into the hands of keeper Muneeba Ali, who seems suitably amused.

It should have been a fourth wicket for Sadia Iqbal, but Nida Dar puts her hand up saying I should have done better there. That is sloppy!

    Should be nine down.

Sachini Nisansala spoons into the covers while trying to clip through the leg side.

Nida Dar drops the simplest of chances above her head.

No hat-trick, new batter Inoshi Priyadharshani fends the ball off through an empty slip cordon.

Kumari lbw b Sadia Iqbal 0 (SL 81-8)

Sadia Iqbal is on a hat-trick!

Sugandika Kumari goes for a golden duck, given out lbw attempting a conventional sweep.

Sri Lanka review, but that's plumb and she has to go.

You can't blame the batter for trying to do something, top edge though. A grim day for Sri Lanka just gets that little bit grimmer!

    Nisansala c Nashra b Iqbal (SL 81-7)

    And there goes Nisansala.

She survives an lbw review from Sadia Iqbal's first ball, a speculative attempt after being hit attempting the reverse sweep, dismissed for being outside the line.

Dismissed next ball - down on a knee to sweep, she top edges to fine leg.

Nida Dar returns, and Sri Lanka hustle through threes twos, including one set of byes.

Not enough to bring down the rate for the Sri Lankans, who've hit just three fours in this innings.

Gull Feroza really did have that and it's a terrible drop. She took the last catch in a similar area and she didn't actually have to move for this one. She looks absolutely livid with the way she dropped that.

Sachini Nisansala brings out an elaborate scoop for her first delivery.

She doesn't get much on it, but it's enough for a single.

That brings Nilakshika Silva on strike and she brings out a carbon copy of Sanjeewani's dismissal shot, but this time it's spilled by Feroza, who looks furious with herself.

Nilakshika runs a single to move to 17 from 20.

That's another example of Pakistan's really good catching. That ball went quite high and we saw seven go down in the first match and it wasn't even dark then. I think to see Pakistan get under these high balls is good for the women's game.
