My big idea for the Hundred? Get the coaches mic'd up during the strategic timeouts. It would be great.

The Spirit turn to Issy Wong after the thinking time and she keeps the runs down to four from this set of five.

Where is the final flourish going to come from?

Manchester Originals are really struggling against spin bowling this year. As a team they are collectively striking at just 95 against spin and losing runs every 17 runs scored - both figures are the lowest of all sides in this year’s competition.

As Alex says, Grace Harris enters the attack for the first time today. She was summoned to bowl the final five in the win against Welsh Fire at the weekend.

This is a doddle in contrast. The Aussie all-rounder concedes only a couple before the strategic timeout is called.

A big 25 balls now as the superstar Grace Harris comes on. She can really make a difference.

Deandra Dottin is not quite managing to time the ball at the moment.

  5. Originals 88-5published at Ball 75

Sarah Glenn looks a little annoyed as the ball squirms through the infield to allow the Originals to steal a couple. The Spirit have been very good in the field today. That was not.

  6. Originals 83-5published at Ball 70

    Dottin 14, Monaghan 4

New batter Alice Monaghan does well to keep the scoreboard ticking through her first three balls.

It feels like you'd still want 140 or so at least on this pitch.

An underrated catch from Sarah Glenn. She had to dive left and forward at the same time.

A great grab and she breaks the partnership as it looked like it was getting going.

  8. wicket

    Morris c Glenn b Knott 20 (Originals 77-5)

Gone this time. Fi Morris cuts to backward point where Sarah Glenn takes a good diving catch.

Morris had played well. That will hurt.

  9. Originals 75-4published at Ball 62

Swept for four by Fi Morris.

    She has nailed that too.

That was a bit top-edgy from Fi Morris but she was watching the ball sail over the boundary. Dani Gibson was in and out.

    A much-needed six.

  11. Originals 69-4published at Ball 60

Fi Morris had looked good before clearing the ropes there. She has found the middle of the bat even when pushing for ones and twos.

    Timely.

  12. 6 runs

    Originals 68-4published at Ball 59

    Whacked over mid-wicket!

That's the first six of the day and Manchester Originals entire season.

Georgia Redmayne looked like she wasn't in the right position but it was just the deviation of the ball.

These two need to get on with it and try to rotate the strike. There have been so many dot balls.

Charlie Dean is turning back to Eva Gray now. Her first five balls cost 13 and was the only real period the Manchester Originals found their groove.

  15. dropped catch

A tough under edge off Sarah Glenn.

Wicketkeeper Georgia Redmayne puts it down.

    Not easy.

A slower ball from Issy Wong. She didn't get her line right at all and Deandra Dottin waited an age and then crunched it.

    They needed that.

  17. Originals 58-4published at Ball 50

    Dottin 9, Morris 4

This is a welcome boost for the Originals as Issy Wong loses her line to allow Deandra Dottin to drag a four behind square on the leg side.

This partnership needs to be a big one some Sophie Ecclestone can come out swinging with 15/20 balls to go later on.

Deandra Dottin is a horrible batter to bowl at. You just know she is going to charge you at some stage.

You either have to go wide or take the pace right off it.

    That feels generous.
