There has been some great batting in the County Championship today, not least from Ollie Pope and Dan Lawrence, who made centuries as Surrey fought back strongly against Sussex.

Haseeb Hameed carried his bat for 138 not out for Notts against Warwickshire, while Alex Lees and Emilio Gay 'went big' for Durham in their match with Yorkshire.

The game between Essex and Worcestershire could still go either way on the final day, and Notts are on top at Edgbaston, while there were hundreds for Ben Compton, Luke Procter and Saif Zaib in Division Two.

Join us tomorrow from 10:30 for the final day's play.

    Warwicks 93 & 163-6 v Notts 367

Warwickshire's Oliver Hannon-Dalby sees out the final over of the day of what has been a terrific one for Nottinghamshire.

A Haseeb Hameed unbeaten ton helped the visitors put 367 on the board and they have been backed up by some consistent and threatening bowling from their seam attack this evening.

Warwickshire still trail Notts by 111 runs with just four wickets remaining.

Rain is expected in the Birmingham area on Monday but, with only four still to get, the visitors will back themselves to get the job done tomorrow if they can get an hour or so played.

Surprising because it's just not looked like happening, as well as Notts have bowled.

Kai Smith has looked at ease and has been relatively untroubled.

It's a really good delivery from Fergus O'Neill and he pays the ultimate price.

Just before the close of play, Fergus O'Neill comes up with a jaffa!

Its wonderful bowling. The ball goes past the edge of the bat and hits middle and off.

Wicket-keeper Kai Smith just didn't see it and the stumps get castled.

Warwickshire six down now and still trail by 116 runs.

Matthew Potts and Ben Raine celebrate a Yorkshire wicket

A decent end to the day for Durham who will leave the field believing that the win remains a lively possibility.

It is a position of strength built on Alex Lees (172) and Emilio Gay (152) who put together a towering partnership of 279 for the second wicket.

Yorkshire responded brilliantly taking 9-126 from 301-1 before throwing down the anchor with the bat this evening in an effort to secure a draw.

Once again, Durham fought back taking four Yorkshire wickets before the visitors had wiped out the first innings deficit, Ben Raine and Matthew Potts sharing the spoils with two victims apiece.

Now, a lead of 12 with with six wickets up is a tricky situation for Jonny Bairstow's side who, in setting out their course for a draw, cannot now change course.

But with the captain and George Hill unbeaten on 2 and 12, respectively, it is at least in capable hands.

There is a little bit of rain around the Durham area for day four but the hosts will be sleeping with fingers crossed it misses. Early wickets could put them in with a great shout of the win.

    Durham 427 v Yorks 307 & 132-4

    Martin Emmerson

If Durham can get a couple of early wickets on the board in the morning then who knows. There might still be enough time in this game to see it to a conclusion.

One really decent partnership from Yorkshire and you are pushing the match way into the afternoon and then the weather could be an issue.

It's been a good day for the hosts really.

  8. 150 runs

150 for Warwickspublished at 19:06 British Summer Time 20 April

    Warwicks 93 & 151-5 v Notts 367

It has taken them over 56 overs but the hosts have finally got 150 on the board following a couple from Ed Barnard.

We still have three overs left at the end of day three at Edgbaston in this one.

  9. Close of play at Old Traffordpublished at 19:01 British Summer Time 20 April

    Lancs 263 & 16-3 v Leics 491-8d

It's stumps on day three at Old Trafford and it's been another day dominated by the visitors.

A sensational unbeaten century by Peter Handscomb put Leicestershire fully in charge of this Division Two affair.

Two late wickets by all-rounder Ian Holland and one from Logan van Beek then saw the Foxes rip into the hosts top order late on in the final session.

Lancashire will return on day four still trailing Leicestershire by 212 runs with weather forecasts predicted rain in south Manchester on Monday.

    Warwicks 93 & 148-5 v Notts 367

Little to update you about at Edgbaston.

The hosts look desperate to not lose a sixth second-innings wicket before stumps following two successive maiden overs.

Kai Smith is five not out while Ed Barnard has 21 off 66 balls currently.

We look like we'll have another six overs remaining this evening with the hosts still 126 behind.

    van Beek b Jones 4 (Lancs 263 & 11-3 v Leics 491-8d)

Magnificent from the visitors - Lancashire are 11-3!

Seam up from Logan van Beek and his in-swinger stays low on Michael Jones and takes his off-stump.

Lancashire are on the ropes here and, with a day still to come, still trail Leicestershire by 216 runs.

  12. 'Mousley battled hard for his side'published at 18:44 British Summer Time 20 April

    Farhan Ahmed makes the breakthrough.

Dan Mousley looks disappointed, he's battled hard for his side there.

At last, not only have we got some bowling from a spinner, but we've got a wicket from a spinner.

    Phillip lbw b Holland 2 (Lancs 263 & 7-2 v Leics 491-8d)

    And now the night-watchman goes!

It's a beautiful bit of bowling from Ian Holland who gets his second wicket in as many overs.

The ball nips back and flicks the pad of Anderson Phillip right in front of his stumps.

Paceman Phillip would have been proud of that one himself.

Leicestershire are on fire here at Old Trafford!

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:38 British Summer Time 20 April

    Mousley lbw Ahmed 32 (Warwicks 93 & 141-5 v Notts 367)

Terrific bit of spin bowling from Farhan Ahmed who cramps Ed Mousley and traps him on his pads and the umpire raises his finger.

That looked plumb and Mousley's rather unconvincing innings comes to an end.

The hosts still trail by 133.

    Malan b Potts 37 (Durham 427 v Yorks 307 & 117-4, trail by 3 runs)

Contrary to what seemed likely, Durham skipper Alex Lees has brought back his big guns taking Ben Raine out and throwing the ball to Matthew Potts.

And he has been rewarded with the key wicket of Dawid Malan first ball.

It looks like Malan has got a slight inside edge on that but, a little bit like Adam Lyth, he was a little bit tired on that shot, aiming a wafty drive towards mid off.

  16. Close of play at Derbypublished at 18:36 British Summer Time 20 April

    Derbyshire 307 & 202-3 v Northamptonshire 500-8 dec

Wayne Madsen and Brooke Guest stand firm to stumps for Derbyshire, who will take a slender nine-run lead into the final day, with a draw the most likely result.

Luke Procter (150) and Saif Zaib (105) enabled Northants to pass 500 before declaring, but their bowlers also found the pitch in less than generous mood after David Llloyd gave away his wicket with a loose shot.

Madsen put on 66 with Caleb Jewell - who passed 50 for the fifth time but once again failed to convert it into a century for Derbyshire, departing for 71 - and was 62 not out at the close.

  17. wicket

    Jennings b Holland 1 (Lancs 263 & 5-1 v Leics 491-8d)

    Oh, what a beauty!

Ian Holland provides the breakthrough for Leicestershire, finding the gap between Keaton Jennings' bat and pad, clipping the top of the off-stump and the bails goes flying.

Huge wicket before the close of play on day three - Lancashire trail by 222.

Time for a night-watchman - Anderson Phillip comes to the crease.

  18. 'Mousley and Barnard have held firm'published at 18:28 British Summer Time 20 April

    Warwicks 93 & 138-4 v Notts 367

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

This is really good from the Bears, Notts have been desperate to obviously try and make inroads into the middle and lower middle order but this pair of Dan Mousley and Ed Barnard have held firm.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:28 British Summer Time 20 April

    Lyth lbw b Raine 53 (Durham 427 v Yorks 307 & 114-3 (trail by 6 runs)

That is the breakthrough for Ben Raine.

Looks a bit of a tired shot from the Yorkshire opener who is a touch unbalanced trying to turn that off his legs and hit on his front pad bang in front.

That will inject a little energy into the Durham side with 9.5 overs still to come on what is a glorious evening at the Riverside.

But it is unlikely to persuade Alex Lees to reach for one of his front line bowlers with the Durham captain likely to keep them fresh for a morning onslaught.

  20. Postpublished at 18:26 British Summer Time 20 April

    Warwicks 93 & 131-4 v Notts 367

Lyndon James' second no-ball of the over, and his fifth in total for the innings, is a sign that Nottinghamshire's paceman is starting to tire both physically and mentally.

With an excellent effort in the field for most of the past three days, you could excuse James for a bit of slackness at this late stage.
