  1. 50 runs

50 up for Warwickspublished at 16:04 British Summer Time

    Warwicks 93 & 53-2 v Notts 367

Two glorious straight drives in as many balls from Hamza Shaikh suggests he's in the mood to give Nottinghamshire a harder task of this one than they might have thought following that wicket of Rob Yates.

50 up for Warwickshire - they still trail by 221 runs with eight second-innings wickets remaining.

  2. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:04 British Summer Time

    Ali c Cox b Harmer 50 (Worcs 119-5 - target 295)

What a great thinking bowler Simon Harmer is.

After an off-break lobs up to slip via Kashif Ali's pad, the next one is slightly wider and flatter, the Worcestershire batsman pushes at it and Jordan Cox snaffles the edge.

    Essex big favourites now.

  3. 50 runs

for Kashif Alipublished at 15:59 British Summer Time

    Essex 179 & 317 v Worcs 202 & 117-4

Kashif Ali's 50 arrives from 86 balls with a push to mid-wicket for one.

It's been a fine innings thus far and has given his side some hope of being able to chase down this target.

  4. Postpublished at 15:58 British Summer Time

    Worcs 116-4 - target 295

Essex increasing the pressure with tea approaching.

Kasun Rajitha keeps Kashif Ali on 49 with a maiden and another one follows as spinner Simon Harmer comes into the attack.

  5. Tea at Canterburypublished at 15:57 British Summer Time

    Kent 393 v Glos 472 & 112-2

Gloucestershire reach tea with a lead of 191 over Kent, with Ollie Price 21 not out and Miles Hammond on nine.

Kent were all out for 393 immediately before lunch after a superb innings of 178 by opener Ben Compton.

But Ben Charlesworth (58) and Cameron Bancroft (22) began the reply with an opening stand of 71 and the visitors certainly look the more likely winners at this stage.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:57 British Summer Time

    Yates c Verreynne b Tongue 26 (Warwicks 93 & 45-2 v Notts 367)

    Big wicket just before tea!

Rob Yates can not believe it.

A strangler down the leg side from Josh Tongue is his downfall, tickling the ball down to Kyle Verreynne and the South African wicket-keeper makes a simple take.

Both of Warwickshire's openers are now back in the pavillion.

  7. 100 runs

100 for Lawrencepublished at 15:56 British Summer Time

    Sussex 435 v Surrey 370-3 (trail by 65 runs)

This has been a terrific knock from Dan Lawrence and even if that is a sketchy way to reach it his century has lit up the day.

The Surrey batsman has taken a swing at Ollie Robinson and an edge has looped through the vacant area between first and third slip to the third man boundary.

Do not be fooled though. His 102 in 92 balls with eight fours and six sixes has really dragged a Surrey win back into the equation.

The champions are going to be up beyond Sussex's first innings score soon enough and applying a bit of scoreboard pressure before the end of day three.

  8. Bad light stops playpublished at 15:54 British Summer Time

    Hants 336 v Somerset 184 & 91-1

The players have been called off and bad light has, unfortunately, stopped play.

Early tea is being taken but I would be surprised if we see more action at The Utilita Bowl today.

  9. 'We've not had a single over of spin'published at 15:53 British Summer Time

    Warwicks 93 & 45-1 v Notts 367

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

A great unknown in the match, given we've not had a single over of spin, is what Farhan Ahmed might do if he gets a bit of a bowl after tea?

You don't know, it's been a seam dominated game and continues to be.

  10. Tea at Lord'spublished at 15:52 British Summer Time

    Middx 470-9d v Glamorgan 199 & 103-2

Glamorgan trail by 168 runs at the end of a session in which they lost just two wickets and they will be pretty happy with that.

Conversely Middlesex will be a little frustrated that a game they expected to tilt their way that session has refused to.

  11. Postpublished at 15:52 British Summer Time

    Warwicks 93 & 45-1 v Notts 367

Nottinghamshire's bowling attack beginning to become a little ragged.

Lyndon James is pulled up for a no ball, which in truth could have also been a wide.

The hosts still trail by 229 runs, however.

  12. Postpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time

    Hants 336 v Somerset 184 & 85-1

We have spin from both ends now as Tom Prest comes on to bowl.

It's starting to look rather gloomy over The Utilita Bowl - and so far we've not seen a lot of turn on this pitch.

Somerset still trail by 67 runs with nine wickets remaining.

  13. Postpublished at 15:46 British Summer Time

    Worcs 113-4 - target 295

An absolute beauty from Kasun Rajitha beats Brett D'Oliveira.

Worcestershire move a fielder away from gully and D'Oliveira edges the next one through that exact gap and away for four.

  14. new ball

Second new ballpublished at 15:44 British Summer Time

    Sussex 435 v Surrey 362-3 (trail by 73 runs)

Ollie Robinson will have a go with the second new ball in hand but not before Ben Foakes has faffed around a few minutes and changed his bat grip.

Dan Lawrence will face the new cherry on 95.

  15. Postpublished at 15:44 British Summer Time

    Worcs 109-4 - target 295

Brett D'Oliveira dabs Shane Snater down past the slips for four as Worcestershire's total passes 100.

Noah Thain will continue at the other end and there's another glorious cover drive from Kashif Ali which brings him a ninth boundary.

He is 48 not out and D'Oliveira has 13.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:43 British Summer Time

    Kimber b J Turner 8 (Lancs 263 v Leics 331-5)

Louis Kimber looks to play the ball off his pads but mistimes it entirely and the ball goes crashing into middle and leg stump.

Full and straight does the trick for Lancashire's John Turner.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:42 British Summer Time

    Bean lbw b Raine 7 (Durham 427 v Yorks 307 & 25-1, trail by 95 runs)

Ooh. Finlay Bean is not happy with that which he felt, perhaps rightly, was going down leg but he is gone, very much a has-Bean.

Yorkshire's slow and steady start has been broken in the 11th over with the deficit still 95.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:37 British Summer Time

    Hill c Jones b Balderson 64 (Lancs 263 v Leics 320-4)

    Lewis HillImage source, Rex Features

Wicket to tell you about in Division Two at Old Trafford.

Lewis Hill looks to heave the ball over long-on but top edges straight to mid-wicket and Michael Jones takes a simple catch.

A loose shot to end a very good innings and Leicestershire's fourth-wicket partnership, worth 130 runs, comes to an end.

  19. Let-off for Alipublished at 15:34 British Summer Time

    Worcs 91-4 - target 295

    Relief for Worcestershire.

    Noah Thain flattens Kashif Ali's leg stump - but it's a no-ball.

No-one for the bowler to blame there except himself.

To rub salt in the wound, Thain overpitches with the extra delivery at the end of the over and Ali cover drives for four.

  20. Postpublished at 15:33 British Summer Time

    Worcs 86-4 - target 295

That's a great stroke by Kashif Ali, who drives Shane Snater for four and briefly holds the pose in the follow through. He is 36 not out and Brett D'Oliveira has four.
