A pause in proceedings as Shubman Gill gets some treatment in the middle. It looks like he has a bit of cramp.

In the office, we embrace the opportunity to pass around the cookies. No cramp here.

The spinners have stemmed the flow of runs for the time being but with 149 needed from 34 overs, it's wickets that Pakistan need.

A tidy opening over from Khushdil Shah, conceding just two from it.

As the guilty party in the Shubman Gill drop, he'll be desperate to make an impact with the ball.

When you watch Pakistan, you watch them and think they are a pretty decent team. They play some really good cricket and it looks like they could compete. When it comes to the game, the difference between the two sides is huge. India are a world-class team.

Pakistan just haven't shown any fight today. India have felt more busy out there today, finding the ones and twos and finding the boundary more often.

India are definitely in control of this game so far.

  11. Ind 87-1published at 14 overs

Watching Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli batting together is a joy.

There's a master and apprentice, Jedi and Padawan vibe even though Gill has 50-odd ODI caps to his name.

Brilliant shot to end the over for India. The way each team have gone about their innings is so different.

  14. Ind 84-1published at 13 overs

Virat Kohli adds insult to injury, dispatching the final ball of the over for another four through cover.

Virat Kohli is one of the all-time greats but his work isn't done here yet.

  16. Ind 76-1published at 12.2 overs

How annoyed will Haris Rauf be to see Virat Kohli punching him through the covers for four? He should be back in the changing room.

With that shot, he passes 14,000 ODI runs. Congratulations to him.

You want an India-Pakistan match to go right down to the wire. India's batting depth is so good and Pakistan really lack strength in their batting line-up so it never really feels like it would go down to the wire.

  18. Ind 70-1published at 12 overs

    Target 242

A mercifully quiet over after the chaos of the 11th. Three singles for India.

Haris Rauf is preparing to bowl his second over.

While Virat Kohli has not been in great form recently, fans still adore him. There has been some frustration over his form on social media but nobody wants him to hang his boots yet. His name is still the biggest brand in India - bigger than many top Bollywood stars. His fans just want to him get back at what he does best - win matches for India. And the match against Pakistan is the biggest platform for him to get back to form.

I think Shubman Gill has to temper it down a little bit. He's looking to play a shot off every delivery but he doesn't have to do that.
