The excitement in India is quite visible. The gym I usually go to was full this morning as everybody was trying to finish their training session before the start of the match. Every shop - small or big - either has TVs set up or people are glued to their mobile phones. Some 60 million people are already watching the pre-match coverage on JioHotstar - the official app broadcaster of the tournament in India.

Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan: "We want to bat first. We’ve seen how the surface has played out.

"In ICC tournaments we know what it's like, we can't lose today. The boys are familiar with these conditions. We want to do our best today. We lost last game, that day has passed, todays a new day."

"One change, Fakhar Zaman is out."

India captain Rohit Sharma: "I would've batted, it doesn't really matter, they won the toss, we’ll bowl. It’s not the same surface but obviously same surface on what we played last time. It looks slower.

"The guys are quite experienced in our batting, they understand what needs to be done, they understand the challenges of when the pitch gets slow. We need an overall performance from the team not just bat or ball, we need to come together."

"I think the way we played our last game. It wasn’t an easy run through for us which is always nice. You want to test yourself and be under pressure and try new things."

    "No changes for us."

Good morning! It's day five of the Champions Trophy and time for the highly anticipated meeting of India and Pakistan.

India are riding high after beating Bangladesh by six wickets on Thursday. Pakistan, by contrast, are already in must-win territory following a 60-run defeat to New Zealand in the tournament opener.

It was a one-sided affair when these two sides met at the 2023 World Cup (India won by seven wickets). What will we see from this great rivalry today?
