That's a terrific shot from Heather Knight. The Australians won't mind, they're just testing.

Oh Heather Knight, that is glorious.
Annabel Sutherland cannot find much off the pitch and bangs one in short to Heather Knight who dismissively pulls it away for four.
The England skipper unfurls a beautiful cover drive later in the over. All balance, poise and technique as the ball pierces the in-field and races to the boundary for four.
Majestic.

This accumulation of dot balls can only make you feel as if there's a wicket coming.

I sense that there might be a lot of work to do for Kim Garth and Ash Gardner this afternoon.
Tammy Beaumont sometimes looks like she is pulling out of an attacking shot when she defends off-spin, almost playing with an exaggerated flourish.
She rocks back to Ash Gardner's penultimate delivery and cuts, but straight to the fielder at point.
Maiden to start from Gardner.

Heather Knight has played Kim Garth a lot better today compared to the first innings. So far, she's played half as many false shots - 10% today v 20% in the first innings. Her footwork has looked better today, playing both off the front (45%) and back foot (30%).
A change of bowling and its spin for seam as Ash Gardner replaces Kim Garth.

I just hope those couple of boundaries don't take Tammy Beaumont out of the zone. It's easy to slip into ODI mode, she needs to stay focused.
Well played Tammy Beaumont, who looks in good touch here.
She crunches a drive off Annabel Sutherland through the covers for four midway through the over, before riding the bounce and steering the Aussie all-rounder between point and gully for another boundary.

I sense that this could be quite a gentle session. The pitch isn't doing much.

I can imagine that Kim Garth just has to pinch herself sometimes considering the progress that she's made this summer.
After overpitching earlier in the over, Kim Garth's fourth ball to Heather Knight is a bouncer. The England skipper resists the urge to whack it and instead controls a pull behind square for a couple.
A nip-backer off the penultimate ball of over from Garth hits Knight on her inner thigh, prompting encouraging cheers from the Aussie fielders.
Classy shot by Heather Knight.
Slightly full from Kim Garth and Knight times a beautiful on-drive which races all the way along the carpet to the boundary for four.
One for the purists.

Tammy Beaumont is such a likeable, high-energy player.
Annabel Sutherland is relentless in probing Tammy Beaumont outside her off stump and beats the outside edge a few times. There's the unerring sense she's waiting to zip one back into the England opener's front pat when it's planted in front of stump.

That ball is only getting older. I think we'll start to see some spin soon.

The Aussies know that if they get a breakthrough, they'll see the whole English team.
Kim Garth, who made her international debut for Ireland as a 14-year-old before moving to Australia to pursue a professional cricket career, is on the money.
Tammy Beaumont nudges one into the leg side to pick up single but slim pickings for England in the remainder of the over.

There's not as much bounce in this pitch as there was on day one.
Trail by 240 runs
Heather Knight gives the pitch a bit of a tap between deliveries as she shows the bat maker's name to Annabel Sutherland with some resolute defensive prods.
The Aussie all-rounder starts with a maiden, but there does not appear to many demons in this surface for the seam bowlers at the moment.
