As it stands, the only two players to get Harmanpreet Kaur out in the knockout stages of a World Cup are Annabel Sutherland and Alex Hartley.

You always have a conversation as a batting pair as to who is going to be the busy one and who is going to stick around. Deepti Sharma seems to be the former.

  3. Ind 219-3published at 38 overs

Deepti Sharma takes a sidestep down the track and pings Chloe Tryon over the mid-wicket fielder and away for four. Excellent placement, bisecting two fielders on the rope.

    Back-to-back eight-run overs for India.

300 plus and maybe even 320 is very much doable for India. This is building into a nice partnership.

  5. Ind 211-3published at 37 overs

Deepti Sharma is rumbling into life. Her lbw scare is followed by four singles before she gets down on one knee and sweeps Nadine de Klerk for four.

The South Africa all-rounder shakes her head.

It was pitching outside leg by a long way, and that was not a good decision.

It was pitching outside leg. South Africa don't look too disappointed.

  8. India reviewpublished at 36.1 overs

Nadine de Klerk goes up for lbw against Deepti Sharma. Umpire Jacqueline Williams slowly raises her finger.

    India are quick to review.

I think India would feel comfortable with 280, and South Africa probably would feel the same. India will feel they have something to defend, and South Africa will also feel comfortable knowing that there have been higher run chases on this ground.

No Ffion, keep the bad news to yourself!

    Chloe Tryon concedes three singles.

India were 158-1 halfway through their innings.

Deepti Sharma is one of the most leg-side dominant players in the game, with 71% of her runs in ODIs coming on that half of the pitch. Of the 48 players to have scored more than 1,000 runs since 2012, she scores the highest percentage on the on side.

South Africa's outfielding has been brilliant, except for the dropped catch of Shafali Verma. They have been exceptional at stopping the ball along the floor with full-length dives and stopping boundaries.

  14. Ind 200-3published at 35 overs

    A leg-bye and four singles bring up India's 200.

Midway through the over, Annerie Dercksen flew around the boundary rope to save a boundary. She's been excellent in the field.

Ummm well, drinks has not settled India's jitters. A risky single necessitates another Deepti Sharma dive. Again, a direct hit and she would've been gone.

Three balls later, Harmanpreet Kaur creams a wide delivery through point for four.

10 off the over but it really feels like India could throw a wicket away at any moment.

Things have slowed up a bit for India since Shafali Verma's departure in the 28th over.

Here are the highlights from her 87 (78).

Deepti Sharma has good memories of batting against South Africa in ODIs with five half-centuries - against no other team does she have more.

Marizanne Kapp has walked off the field. She is likely to be off the field for a couple of overs and come back in and possibly finish her quota.

  19. drinks break

    Ind 185-3published at 33 overs

    Harmanpreet 6, Deepti 11

This is a better approach from India. A boundary followed by sensible singles. They don't need to go mad or take risks with 17 overs left in their innings.

Drinks has come at a good time for the batting side. Time to take a breath and regroup.

  20. 6 runs

    Ind 181-3published at 32.1 overs

You don't need to make decisions about running when you can hit 'em like that!

Deepti Sharma rocks back and whacks Marizanne Kapp high into the leg side and over the rope for six.
