Need 88 runs from 60 balls

The equation is 88 from 60. South Africa are so good in the final 10 overs. When will see them kick into hyperdrive?

A hundred off just 96 balls for Laura Wolvaardt, her ninth ODI hundred and her fastest. She’s faced just 40% dot balls, which is the lowest for any of her centuries. What a time to do it for the skipper!

Another incredible innings from Laura Wolvaardt, and not only has she shown the mental and physical toughness to score back-to-back hundreds, but it is so comforting if you're a South African fan that she is still there.

    SA 211-6

A century in a World Cup final for Laura Wolvaardt!

South Africa's skipper has been excellent throughout this tournament - is she the best batter in the world at the moment? She's certainly the most in form. She's scored 60*, 90, 31, 169, and 100* in her past five innings.

This one came off 96 balls.

Annerie Dercksen has played a handy cameo, but it was a really full delivery fired in from Deepti Sharma, and Dercksen yorked herself. She has played really nicely in a big occasion.

Lovely delivery from Deepti Sharma! She deceives Annerie Dercksen with a fuller delivery and scatters her stumps.

A breakthrough for India after a handy 35 (37) from Dercksen but here comes Chloe Tryon...

It's a beautiful shot, and it shows Wolvaardt's experience that she dispatches such balls irrespective of who bowls it to her.

  9. SA 207-5published at 39 overs

    Target 299

Lovely placement from Laura Wolvaardt, beating a fielder in the ring and in the deep to pick up four through the covers.

Oh ho! Back-to-back boundaries, the second creamed through mid-on.

    She's on 98 (94).

    Target 299

Four singles. Laura Wolvaardt is into the nineties.

The required rate is closing in on 8.5 per over.

A few more of these would be nice for South Africa...

Is it becoming one over too many for Shafali Verma? South Africa have to be ruthless here, and when the bad ball comes, it has to be dispatched.

  13. SA 194-5published at 37 overs

    Target 299

Shafali Verma returns but her first ball is too short and Annerie Dercksen laps it up, getting down on one knee and pulling for four.

Dercksen survives a couple of scares in the 37th, top-edging just out of the keeper's reach and then swinging and missing at one she tries to power away. Still, she's made a handy 31 (28).

It's a tight over from Renuka Singh, conceding three singles, but she should have a wicket to her name.

Dropped catch - Dercksen on 24published at 35.3 overs

    SA 185-5

Oh, Annerie Dercksen should be a goner.

She struck it firm and low towards Deepti Sharma at mid-wicket but despite getting two hands to it, the all-rounder can't cling on.

South Africa have so many players who’ve played in the hundred, including Wolvaardt, Tryon and De Klerk… They needed 123 off 100 balls. Time to treat this as a hundred chase?
