  1. SA 183-5published at 35 overs

    Target 299

Laura Wolvaardt and Annerie Dercksen knock another four runs off their chase.

The required rate is pretty stable between 7.5 and 8 runs per over. A side which finishes as well as South Africa won't be too concerned just yet.

  2. SA 181-5published at 34 overs

    Target 299

Laura Wolvaardt and Annerie Dercksen are rotating the strike nicely.

The over finishes in comical fashion as Jemimah Rodrigues makes a smart tumbling stop before ending up in a bundle of limbs as she scrambles after it. She stands up giggling.

South Africa will be looking to get the required run rate back to run-a-ball. That's what they need right now.

Sree Charani strikes me as a player who loves the big occasions.

  5. SA 175-5published at 33 overs

    Target 299

Sree Charani throws her arms up in despair. She beat Laura Wolvaardt's outside edge all ends up.

    Two singles.

Sree Charani (1-20 from five) will bowl the first over after drinks.

That's how quickly games of cricket can change. South Africa are right back in this game and India are going into the drinks break with their bowlers getting hit to all parts of the park. I'd choose to bring Sree Charani back.

India are doing everything they can in the field to keep the pressure on South Africa.

Jemimah Rodrigues comes running round the boundary to save three runs before Harmanpreet Kaur throws herself full length to her left in the covers.

But when your bowler bowls a rank full toss no-ball, there's nothing you can do. Annerie Dercksen pumps Radha Yadav for six and the free hit is given similar treatment.

17 runs off the over. Is this the moment for South Africa?

Annerie Dercksen has had a lean World Cup so far, averaging just 5.25 from five innings. But with two half-centuries and one hundred to her name in the format, she has the potential to shepherd her team home here along with her skipper.

  10. SA 156-5published at 31 overs

    Target 299

Shafali Verma concedes six runs. She has 2-19 from her five overs. What a story she will be if India go on to win this match.

  11. SA 150-5published at 30 overs

    Target 299

South Africa need 149 runs from 120 deliveries. The required rate is above seven.

    Can they do this?

Thumbs up for India. Thumbs down for South Africa.

It was Radha Yadav with the catch, one of India's best fielders. And I have to say, it is not necessarily a bad thing for South Africa to get rid of Jafta.

    Jafta c Yadav b Deepti 16 (SA 148-5)

Sinalo Jafta pops a simple catch to Radha Yadav at mid-wicket to bring a rather painful innings to an end. She walks off for 16 (29).

Annerie Dercksen replaces her. An interesting decision with Chloe Tryon and Nadine de Klerk still to come.

Deary me, Sinalo Jafta - what were you thinking?!!

There was never a single there! Laura Wolvaardt survives a run-out scare.

'Could that be the moment that changes this final?' - Luus is caught and bowled by Verma

Getting four overs out of Shafali Verma is such a win for India and Harmanpreet Kaur. It gives them a bit more breathing room towards the end and way more options.

  16. SA 146-4published at 29 overs

    Target 299

    Guess who's back? Back again?

It's a comparatively expensive over from India's star spinner Shafali Verma, conceding five runs. Without a tumbling stop in the deep from Kranti Gaud, it would have been more.

Laura Wolvaardt is trying to show some intent. She twice skips down to Deepti Sharma but only picks up a dot and a two for her troubles.

The Shafali Verma bowling masterclass is paused for the time being, with Sree Charani returning to the attack.

She beats the outside edge of both Laura Wolvaardt and Sinalo Jafta's bats in the first half of the over.

Her penultimate delivery yields a sketchy aerial stroke from Wolvaardt but fortunately for the South Africa skipper, the ball plops safely into a gap in the off side.

  19. SA 134-4published at 26 overs

    Target 299

Oh Sinalo Jafta, silencing your critics!

She finds a gap in between cover and point and picks up four to finish the 26th over. It's South Africa's first boundary since the 20th over.
