It is amazing how quiet the crowd goes when South Africa does something, isn't it?

"Catch it!" is the cry as Laura Wolvaardt dances down and hits Deepti Sharma high towards long-on.

There is a fielder there but she can only turn and watch as it sails over her head.

Wolvaardt is showing that new-found power that was on display against England.

That is just the second time Brits has been run out in ODI cricket - both times have been against India.

That partnership was brewing nicely before it was broken. Tazmin Brits had to divert slightly, but not a whole lot.

India have to keep the required run-rate above six, and it'll quickly climb towards the end of the innings.

Powerplay over and while South Africa can be happy with where they're up to in this chase, that wicket will have given India a real lift.

Anneke Bosch is the new batter, out to join Laura Wolvaardt.

That's what you have to do when you have a partnership. That was brilliant from Amanjot Kaur; she picked it up cleanly with one and a half stump to aim at.

It's a big moment here just to get the crowd going again for India.

Brits run out (Amanjot) 23 (SA 51-1)

Tazmin Brits has run herself out!

Huge moment for India as Brits tucks the ball into the leg side and calls for a quick single.

It looks tight and as Amanjot Kaur swoops in from mid-wicket and throws down the stumps, it proves more than tight.

Amanjot's throw is right on target and Brits, who had to change path to avoid the bowler, is well short of her ground.

Tazmin Brits will be glad to see the spinners introduced into the attack. Across her ODI career she averages a very healthy 52 against spin, and just 31 against pace bowling.

Smashed back over Deepti Sharma's head by Tazmin Brits!

No chance of a catch for the bowler this time. Walloped by the Proteas opener and straight as the like down the ground for four.

That brings up the fifty partnership.

Deepti Sharma and Sree Charani are going to be key today.

Chance for Deepti Sharma first ball she bowls!

The off-spinner tosses it up to Tazmin Brits, who pushes at it and the ball goes back, in the air, to the right of the bowler but Deepti can't get a hand to it.

It seemed to hang in the air. Should she have done better?

    Loose from Amanjot Kaur.

The ball is drifting down leg and Laura Wolvaardt can whip it away past short fine leg for four.

Over mid-wicket this time. Thumped confidently into a big vacant area of the field.

India are making a real effort to bowl tight to Laura Wolvaardt’s stumps here and not give her any width to unleash her powerful cover drive. 45% of their balls to Wolvaardt so far have been on the stumps or down leg.

Just a further single from the over but South Africa have managed to up the run-rate in the past three overs.

They're going at 4.71 now, the required rate is 6.18. All in hand for the time being.

That is where Tazmin Brits is super dangerous, but that is a half-volley and a free swing, especially with her technique, where she can move her feet and free her swing.

Smashed back down the ground for six!

In the slot from Renuka Singh Thakur and Tazmin Brits' eyes light up.

With one mighty swing of the bat, the South Africa opener sends the ball high over the bowler's head and over the rope.

Renuka Singh is getting the ball to talk early on here, finding 2.0° of swing on average. Only once has she found more movement in her first spell this World Cup.

Good over for South Africa with eight from it.

Laura Wolvaardt almost adds another boundary with a flick through the leg side. Into the gap and it just keeps going with the fielder in the deep only just drags it back in time.
