Those balls kill you, he's bowled well but that was a bit too full and floaty.

Axar is able to use his feet and send it straight back over his head.

  2. Ind 57-2published at 7 overs

It had been a very tight over from Ifitkhar, but off the final ball, Axar skips down the track and drives over the bowler's head for four.

Seven runs come from that over for India and Naseem Shah is re-introduced for the next over.

Normally I would say it's even here but because of the surface, I would say that India are on top.

Amir's having a luckless time here.

    Dangerous times for Pakistan.

  5. Ind 50-2published at 6 overs

A total of 12 runs come off that Mohammad Amir over, although Pakistan had three chances to dismiss Rishabh Pant.

Speaking of Iftikhar Ahmed, he's coming in to bowl some spin.

This is the highest powerplay at this stadium.

  7. Ind 50-2published at 5.5 overs

Another half chance for Pakistan as Pant again finds four but without much conviction.

Pant was looking to drive away, but it again takes the edge and the ball flies over Iftikhar and runs away for four.

A good, but fortunate over for India.

It was always going away from him, he got there but dropped it at the last minute.

India giving them chances here but Pakistan aren't taking them.

    Two drops in two balls.

    There's drama here.

    Ind 45-2

    Back-to-back chances for Pakistan.

This time, a full on drop from Usman Khan

Rishabh Pant top edges and Usman runs back from point to try and take the catch. He dives, but does not hold on and India run three.

He does jump up to try and take the catch but it did feel like it was half a chance, could've been taken.

  12. Ind 42-2published at 5.1 overs

Half a chance for Iftikhar Ahmed on the dive as Rishabh Pant finds a thick outside edge.

It just goes over Iftikhar and makes its way for four. Pant's first of the day.

India have already lost two wickets, the first was Virat Kohli, who was caught on four.

    Rizwan was furious then.

Poor throw from Amir, Rizwan was waiting at the stumps.

  15. Ind 38-2published at 5 overs

A really good over from India that wrestles them a bit of control.

A total of 14 runs come from it, 10 of which from back-to-back boundaries from Axar Patel at the start of the over.

Pakistan almost managed to run out Patel off the final ball of the over, but the throw in from Mohammad Amir is very poor and wide of keeper Muhammad Rizwan.

Not a good delivery at all.

India are now getting a little bit of momentum.

He was struggling before that delivery but he managed to guide it off the bat perfectly.

  18. 6 runs

    Ind 34-2published at 4.2 overs

Axar Patel with a six, punishing a short ball that just sat up from Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Very smart to flick it back over his hand with a ramp shot and there is nothing the Pakistan fielders can do about that shot.

  19. Postpublished at 17:18 British Summer Time 9 June

    Alex Hartley

There's not been great deliveries from Pakistan, the ball is there to be hit.

  20. Ind 28-2published at 4.1 overs

Axar Patel finds four off the first ball of the fifth over.

Not a convincing shot by any means, but the bottom edge squirms the ball fine and it makes its way for four.
