Highlights: England dominate South Africa in emphatic ten wicket win

  1. SA 59-7published at 16.2 overs

Sinalo Jafta skies the ball down the ground and Alice Capsey comes screaming around the rope eyeing a catch. It falls just short but her full length dive saves a boundary. Excellent work.

  2. SA 58-7published at 16 overs

Four singles from a quiet first over after drinks, bowled by Sophie Ecclestone.

  3. Postpublished at 11:33 BST

Well, I don't think anyone had South Africa being seven wickets down at drinks on their bingo card.

How good as Linsey Smith been with the ball? The spinner has 3-7 from her four overs.

England are in complete control as the drinks come on. They have been so consistent, they haven't done anything too flamboyant.

South Africa keep finding ways to get themselves out and I'm not sure how they're going to get out of this pickle.

  6. SA 54-7published at 15 overs

That's a nice shot from Sinalo Jafta, guiding the ball over the head of Sophie Ecclestone at mid-off for four. Jafta (19 off 28) isn't going down without a fight.

Charlie Dean doesn't want to be the only one without a wicket - but there is plenty of time to get one, of course.

  8. SA 48-7published at 14 overs

Guess what... it's a wicket maiden. I've typed that a couple of times already today.

Nat Sciver-Brunt has chucked the ball to Charlie Dean. Can she join the fun?

A big drive from Nadine de Klerk - you could see she was a bit torn about whether to put the pressure on England or just keep batting.

Excellent captaincy from Nat Sciver-Brunt to keep the slip in. Sophie Ecclestone has her first wicket and Nadine de Klerk is gone!

Sophie Ecclestone punches her left fist as she joins the wicket-taking party.

Nadine de Klerk goes for a big drive but can only edge it to Heather Knight in the slips. A sharp catch from the former skipper.

Has anyone got anything fun planned for this afternoon? Might need new plans...

  12. SA 48-6published at 13 overs

What are South Africa doing? Nadine de Klerk recklessly decides to drop and run but is turned back by Sinalo Jafta, forcing her to take on Linsey Smith's arm as she dashes back to safety. What was she thinking?!

After the success of the Lionesses and Red Roses, the pressure is on our cricketers to perform. So far, no problem!

Listening in from sixth form instead of revising. This performance is definitely making it worth it!

South Africa's nightmare start means they still have work to do to avoid their lowest ever ODI total, that was 51 all out against New Zealand at the 2009 World Cup.

Their lowest against England is 77 at Cuttack in the 2013 World Cup.

They can be grateful that they have at least gone past the lowest ever World Cup total - 27 by Pakistan against Australia in 1997.

Unlikely as it is at this stage, it could still be the lowest total England have bowled a team out for at a World Cup, their current best is the 47 they dismissed Denmark for in a 239-run win in 1993.

  15. SA 44-6published at 12 overs

Sinalo Jafta picks off a wide delivery from Sophie Ecclestone and sends it through third for four to move into double figures - the first South Africa batter to reach that particular milestone.

Six runs from the 12th over.

This is an almost impossible situation for South Africa. Their last hope is in this partnership.

The worst thing for them is that Sophie Ecclestone has now stepped up.

  17. SA 38-6published at 11 overs

It's a wicket maiden for Nat Sciver-Brunt, who has 2-1 from her two overs.

England's bowlers have been relentless but South Africa's batters have not covered themselves in glory - at least half of their wickets have been absolute gifts.

Another one! That went loopily to Alice Capsey who takes it above her head.

We are almost down to the tailenders now - that was South Africa's last hope.

    Well... erm... what's going on?

Chloe Tryon taps a relatively tame catch to Alice Capsey and Nat Sciver-Brunt has her second wicket.

Is it time to start digging out the stats on South Africa's lowest ODI totals? They need something special from Nadine de Klerk.

Ok morning meetings done, finally get to the radio and it’s carnage! This is like the time I had to take my wife to the station and missed the first four wickets of Trent Bridge 2015!
