According to the late John Lennon, and my old friend Chris who moved there in the late 1980s, Jaffa Cakes were the only thing that you could not get in New York.

The wicket is tough and it needs a Netherlands batter to put an innings of substance in. This is a perfect opportunity for Scott Edwards.

Captain Scott Edwards is the new man.

Have any of the parties addressed pet tax in their election manifestos? It's the issue I didn't know I cared about.

Regulation off spinner to left-hander. Very good bowling as he holds it back.

Having a left-hander at the crease limits the options and I think it's going to be tough now.

  7. wicket

Singh st Das b Mahmudullah 26 (Ned 69-3)

Crikey, stumped by so far, he's nearly run out.

Vikramjeet Singh's promising innings is over. He has sprinted at off-spinner Mahmudullah, who cleverly bowls shorter, wider and slower. Keeper Litton Das does the rest. Poor cricket from Singh and the Dutch right up against it.

What sort of pet tax are we talking here? Tax on pet food, or am I paying VAT if a buy a hamster from a shop?

Possibly slightly morbid but, re-Jaffa Cake non-tax, rabbits are the only pet not subject to being taxed as a 'luxury' due to the taxman considering them a food stuff!

Now Engelbrecht in on the act. Straight down the ground, just falling short of the boundary sponge for a one-bounce four.

It's turning out to be a curious innings from the Netherlands.

Vikramjeet Singh is a very classy left-hander. Flowing movement, like Gower or Moeen. He might need to get a wriggle on. The Dutch are getting behind the game.

    Should be out!

Yes, no, sorry from the Dutch. Singh runs, Engelbrecht doesn't, then sets off. Bowler Mustafizur gathers in his follow-through, throws, but misses the non-striker's stumps. Engelbrecht was nowhere.

That was a really well picked up delivery from Vikram. Back-to-back sixes, with the last two balls of the powerplay going for 12. He's got the Netherlands right back in it.

That's back-to-back humpty from Vikramjeet Singh, who twice whallops Shakib Al Hasan over the leg side for six. Good game, this. Back and forth.

Have Jaffa Cakes gone global, or is their popularity limited to this great nation?

Tanzim Sakib is having some treatment on his hand. That catch must have hurt.
