Great Britain's Laura Trott has her sights on double gold at the Track World Championships in Paris.
The 22-year-old double Olympic gold medallist will compete in the omnium and team pursuit in the competition, which begins on Wednesday 18 February.
"I'm pretty confident with the way my training has been going so I'm hoping for the best," Trott told BBC Sport.
"You've got to set your stall out and have ambitious targets. I'd be happy to medal but my aim is to win two golds."
At the 2014 World Championships in Colombia, Trott won gold in the women's team pursuit and also claimed a silver in the omnium.
But the British team performed below expectation overall, picking up five medals to finish fourth in the table behind Germany, France and Australia.
"We were pleased with how [the women's team pursuit] went but other teams didn't do too well," said Trott.
"But I think they've really turned that around. We've seen from a lot of the World Cups that teams have stepped forward. I'm hoping we will come together as one team and really perform at the World Track Championships ."
Trott's fiance, Jason Kenny, will also compete for Britain in Paris, and he is keen to add to his current tally of two world and four Olympic gold medals.
"I have two World titles but I think I am one of the few people who have more Olympic golds than Worlds golds," he said. "It'd be nice to sort that out."
Kenny, 26, will compete in the keirin and men's sprint as well as a likely man-two role in the men's team sprint.
"Once you get in to the top four or five anyone can win," he added. "Once you've made the final in the keirin anyone can win and it is the same with the sprints once you're in the second day."
Former head coach Shane Sutton declared after the 2014 World Championships that the Great Britain squad needed freshening up, resulting in a number of changes within the coaching structure of the team, including his own elevation to technical director following the departure of Sir Dave Brailsford.
He says he is less concerned by medals and more by the attitude and improved performance of the team from last year as they continue to build towards the Olympics in Rio in 2016.
"I am not going to turn around and say we are going to win [a certain] amount of medals," said the 57-year-old Australian.
"If we came away with five medals I would be over the moon but I just want the team to go there with a different attitude to what they had last year and see some progression on times."
The World Championships run from 18 to 22 February.
