Thomas confident of Ineos role after retiring

Geraint Thomas says he expects to remain with Ineos Grenadiers after retiring from professional cycling, with the Welshman keen to pass on his experience to the next generation.

The 2018 Tour de France winner brought the curtain down on his career on Sunday when the 2025 Tour of Britain ended in his home city of Cardiff, but insists he will stay involved in the sport in some capacity.

Away from cycling, Thomas admits he is excited to try new challenges - including Ironman - after two decades at the top of his sport.

Thomas also revealed he has booked his first ever skiing holiday for January, relishing the chance to finally enjoy activities long denied to him during his professional career.
