    The past couple of days have seen events five and six of the 2025 Players Championship taking place in Leicester.

    Luke Littler hit a nine-darter during Tuesday's event on his way to the semi-finals, but a defeat by Dutchman Gian van Veen ended a 19-match winning run.

    England's Joe Cullen won event five on Tuesday with a victory over Van Veen in the final on a day where Gary Anderson also hit a nine-darter.

    There were also two nine-darters on Wednesday, by world number one Luke Humphries and Scotland's Alan Soutar.

    Soutar hit his in a first-round defeat by Littler, while Humphries went on to reach the final before losing to Van Veen.

    Since the Premier League visited Brighton last week, teenager Luke Littler successfully defended his Belgian Open title.

    Littler was an 8-5 winner over Belgium's Mike de Decker in the final in Wieze.

    'The Nuke' made his European Tour debut in the Belgian Open 12 months ago, where he claimed victory.

    That title comes alongside the World Championship, UK Open and two Premier League nights Littler has already won this season.

    After five weeks of the Premier League Darts season, Luke Humphries and Luke Littler have taken a healthy lead over the pack at the top of the table.

    Despite a night victory, Gerwyn Price is down in fifth, with Nathan Aspinall and Michael van Gerwen both ahead of him.

    Stephen Bunting is yet to win a single match in this season's competition.

    Here's a look at what is in store from tonight's Premier League meeting in Nottingham.

    In the quarter-finals, the leagues top two Luke Humphries and Luke Littler face each other, with tonight proving to be a good opportunity for either of them to take a lead at the top of the Premier League table.

    Rob Cross and Chris Dobey, sixth and seventh respectively, face other.

    The other side of the draw sees winless Stephen Bunting face Gerwyn Price and third-placed Nathan Aspinall take on fourth-placed Michael van Gerwen.
