World champion and world number one Luke Humphries booked his place at finals night last week.

The points that ultimately secured his place came from a walkover after Gerwyn Price withdrew because of injury.

He fell to a 6-5 loss to Rob Cross - his opponent tonight - in the semi-final and since winning three weeks in a row, his form has dipped.

With finals night around the corner, now would be a good time to start clicking back into gear.

While Humphries has dropped off, Cross has picked up and reached the final in the last two weeks.

Losses to Luke Littler on both occasions mean he is still searching for a first nightly win but he has done enough - just - to give himself the slimmest of slim chances of making the top four.

Result: Luke Littler 6-1 Peter Wright

It looked one-sided and the stats bear it out.

Luke Littler averaged 97.2, while Peter Wright was lagging behind on 82.69.

The 180s were four to one in Littler's favour and the teenager only allowed Wright two darts at double.

That does mean Wright had the better checkout percentage - 50% - but only just, Littler hit six of 13 at double for 46.2%.
