Luke Littler just keeps rolling along.

He's playing so well that even his mistakes make him look good.

Needing 60, he hits tops rather than single 20 but quickly adjusts to hit double 10 for a 5-0 lead.

Peter Wright is in trouble. This is a stroll for Luke Littler.

Wright just needs this Premier League campaign to end. This might be the last we see of him in the Premier League, you never know. It is a big end to the season for him.

Peter Wright is a two-time world champion but he is really struggling and the contrast between him and Luke Littler is stark.

  6. Littler extends his leadpublished at 19:53 British Summer Time 9 May

    Luke Littler 3-0 Peter Wright

This is becoming a very one-sided match.

Luke Littler misses a couple of darts at double 15 and although Peter Wright puts the pressure on, The Nuke is back to secure the leg.

Avoiding the clean sweep feels like the priority for Wright at the moment.

  7. Littler breakspublished at 19:51 British Summer Time 9 May

A slow first leg - but Luke Littler gives himself a shot at a nine-darter in the second!

It was an ordinary start and a slow burner, but, my word, it caught fire at the end.

Pretty slow start - to say the least - from both players but Luke Littler suddenly springs to life!

An 18-dart hold but finished out with a 146 checkout - brilliant.

Loud boos for Manchester United fan Luke Littler from the Leeds crowd.

He cups his ear and the boos get louder. He doesn't seem to mind.

Plenty of cheers as Peter Wright, sporting what I imagine is Leeds United away kit-inspired yellow and blue shirt, gets the party started!

  13. 'I've loved every minute'published at 19:43 British Summer Time 9 May

    Luke Littler v Peter Wright

Luke Littler talking to Sky Sports: "It is what every young boy dreams of and my dream came true at the World Championships by just winning a game, but I went onto the final. I got invited to play in this and I've loved every minute. I've loved walking out into every venue this year."

On being top of the table: "It is just amazing. I didn't think I'd be sat top at this point of the Premier League but my performances have shown why I should be sat at the top."

  14. 'Littler has answered all the questions'published at 19:42 British Summer Time 9 May

I expect Luke Littler to claim a fifth nightly win before the group stage finishes. He's fitted in and he's answered all the questions.

He's shown absolutely everything after not having everything his own way. He's been in hostile and favourable atmospheres.

He deserves to be top but it is all about winning the title on the final night.

Luke Littler is on fire at the moment. After back-to-back nightly wins in Liverpool and Aberdeen, he's going for three in a row tonight.

His place in the play-offs is assured and tonight he has the chance to clinch top spot.

If he plays anything like he did last week, especially in a blistering semi-final display against Michael Smith, then he'll take some stopping.

At the other end of the table is Peter Wright.

With just two wins all season, it's been a bitterly disappointing campaign for the Scot.

There have been signs that his form is beginning to improve in the past couple of weeks, now he needs to turn that into results.

Upsetting the league leader would be a pretty good start.

Result: Michael van Gerwen 6-3 Gerwyn Price

Impressive numbers for Michael van Gerwen in that one.

An average of 101.7, three 180s and 46.2% on the doubles.

If he is finding form, the rest of the players better watch out.

Gerwyn Price started strongly but faded badly.

He averaged 89.93 with just one maximum. His 42.9% on doubles is solid enough but his scoring didn't allow him enough chances at them.

Michael van Gerwen misses one match dart but when Gerwyn Price misses three at double 12, the Dutchman is back to win it!

A dominant performance from MVG. He fell 3-1 down but then took five legs on the bounce to power into the last four.

A big victory in the race for a top-four spot.
