    Price 3-3 Cullen (1-1)

It's getting very nervy now - and doubles are being missed all over the place.

But Joe Cullen does get the break back. He was a long way from perfect on the doubles but Gerywn Price kept giving him chances.

The Welshman missed darts at the bull, then double 12 and double six before Cullen finally secured the break.

What a rollercoaster ride we're on here.

You would almost be surprised if it was as simple as Gerwyn Price holding twice now. It doesn't feel like it will be that simple.

Gerwyn Price has struggled badly on double 10 but hits it now to complete a brilliant 140 checkout.

The Welshman breaks and now has the darts in the decider.

There was plenty of opportunities for Gerwyn Price in that sixth set but Joe Cullen was more clinical.

Cullen has the momentum now and the darts.

It's fair to say this has become a bit of a slog for both players in recent legs.

Trebles are not proving easy to come by and the doubles... well, the less said the better.

Gerwyn Price misses two at double eight and Joe Cullen is there to break again.

He has the darts with a chance to level things up at 3-3.

  9. Price breaks backpublished at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 27 December

    Price 3-2 Cullen (1-1)

A great chance for Gerwyn Price to break back - and he takes it.

He goes a long way clear against the darts but then misses tops and two more darts at double 10.

Thankfully for the Welshman, Joe Cullen misses his dart at bullseye so he can come back for double five to level things up in the sixth set.

At the start of the match if you'd said 'Gerwyn, you can be 3-2 up and have the darts in the sixth leg' he'd have taken that, but his mindset now well be different having been 3-0 up. He may well feel fragile.

The comeback is well and truly on!

Gerwyn Price has had a terrible time of it with double 10 - and it costs him again.

Two more missed darts at it and, although Joe Cullen misses a dart at double of his own, he takes out double 16 for a 17-dart break.

Both players are chasing doubles all over the dart board. What sort of thing is happening here at Alexandra Palace? It is knee-knocking stuff.

What a carry on that was.

  14. Cullen pulls another set backpublished at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 27 December

    Price 3-2 Cullen (1-3)

Joe Cullen misses seven darts for the set - but Gerwyn Price can't make him pay!

    Remarkable stuff!

The nerves are starting to get to both players with both missing numerous darts at double 10, then double five.

Cullen eventually hits double two and suddenly, from 3-0 down, he's back within one.

Joe Cullen leads for the first time in the fifth set as he finds doubles 16 for the hold.

Not the tidiest of legs from either player but Cullen won't care.

Gerwyn Price might start to get a bit frustrated.

He found a break in the last set when he didn't need to and let it slip and he's done the same in this set.

  17. Postpublished at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 27 December

    Price 3-1 Cullen (1-1)

Joe Cullen hits back after a bizarre end to the leg.

The Yorkshireman had one dart at tops for a 116 out but then delays, distracted by a fly near the board.

He misses, Gerwyn Price has 61 to consolidate the break but makes a complete mess of it, doesn't get a dart at double and Cullen - eventually - cleans up.

Gerywn Price is back on it.

Joe Cullen has to settle into this set and make it 3-2. That would give Gerwyn Price something to ponder, he'll still be relatively comfortable at the moment.
