    Littler 1-0 Humphries

A bounce-out for both players. Drama already!

Luke Littler tries to go tops, tops to take out 80 but fails - however, Luke Humphries misses two darts at the same target.

And Littler hits double 10 last dart in hand to hold throw in a nervy opening leg from both.

Luke Humphries is out next and we're in practice mode on the oche now. Almost time.

Best of 21 legs for the Premier League title - two first-time finalists. Indeed this is the first Premier League campaign for both players.

Their respective rises have been nothing short of rermarkable.

    Littler v Humphries

They met on the opening night of the Premier League four months ago.

And they will close the campaign out in similar fashion. Luke Littler, who'll be hoping for the same result as on that night, is out first.

Kisses and hugs for the family, fist-bumps and handshakes for the fans - and an autograph for a very fortunate youngster.

Luke Humphries can dominate anyone so Luke Littler will have to be at his best.

I expect Humphries to have a little bit too much.

  6. Littler bosses head-to-headpublished at 21:04 British Summer Time 23 May

    Littler v Humphries

Luke Humphries won the 'big one' when these two players met in January's World Championship final.

But Luke Littler has won six of their seven meetings since.

Those encounters have all been best-of-11 legs though - this final will be best of 21.

    Wayne Mardle
Former World Championship semi-finalist on Sky Sports

If both players perform as they can we could have a classic.

Luke Littler just isn't as reliable at the moment, but if he gets ahead and gets stuck in early we might see Luke Humphries wilt, we don't know.

  8. Who've you got?published at 20:58 British Summer Time 23 May

    Littler v Humphries

Right then, the semi-finals are in the books.

Who've you got for the final?

Can the teenage sensation write his name in the record books again? Or will the world number one prove too strong?

Thumbs up for Luke Littler, thumbs down for Luke Humphries.

Is Humphries going to be Dennis Priestley to Luke Littler's Phil Taylor? Priestley won the first PDC world title against Taylor but Taylor went on to take over. Interesting little comparison to think about.

Once Luke Humphries got out in front he was never going to surrender it. When he's on form he's better than the rest. He was so focused and he deserved to win.

It is hard to do that to Michael van Gerwen in the semi-finals of the Premier League.

It was a professional job from Humphries and it is what we expect from him now.

Two Lukes have beaten two Michaels, both by 10-5 scorelines.

Not a good night for Michaels - except me. I'm having a great time.

And a rematch of the World Championship final to come. Mouth-watering stuff.

Luke Humphries has three darts at 72 to win the match.

But he misses a single 16 with the second dart.

However, MVG cannot land double 16 - and Humphries shows him how it's done. The world number one is in the final against Luke Littler!

Van Gerwen undid all of his good work in that leg and Humphries is now on the verge.

  14. 'Cool Hand' within one of finalpublished at 20:41 British Summer Time 23 May

    Humphries 9-5 Van Gerwen

The scoring drops significantly in leg 14, both players taking what seems like forever, comparatively to get to a finish.

But, wow, when they do, Luke Humphries breaks out the fireworks with a brilliant 125 finish to move a leg away from the final.

Back-to-back legs, it's not over yet, folks.

MVG takes out 81 by nailing double 12. Crucial break of throw.

    Humphries 8-4 Van Gerwen

Michael van Gerwen takes out tops but this is following the same pattern as the first semi-final with the trailing player clinging on.

He needs to break the Humphries throw - and a 180 early in leg 13 gives him hope of doing just that.

  17. 'Humphries is reaping the rewards'published at 20:36 British Summer Time 23 May

    Humphries 8-3 Van Gerwen

Humphries has been patient, trusted the process and he is now reaping the rewards.

  18. Humphries two legs from finalpublished at 20:36 British Summer Time 23 May

    Humphries 8-3 Van Gerwen

Will the interval have any affect?

Seems not. Luke Humphries still pounding the trebles.

MVG still struggling to find the lipstick. And even when he does, with two treble 18s, he misses a dart at double 10.

Humphries, as he has done throughout, punishes the miss. He's two legs from the final.
