1. 'Levels keep getting better and better' - MVGpublished at 20:08 British Summer Time 23 May

Humphries v Van Gerwen (20:15 BST)

Michael van Gerwen was far from his best in the group stages, being eliminated in the opening game of the night on eight occasions, but four nightly wins meant he finished third.

The Dutchman comes alive on finals night though - he has won the previous two years after finishing second and third in the league stage.

He won this event four years straight between 2016-19 and has lifted the title in six of the past eight years.

"The level is high but I think darts in general the levels keep getting better and better all the time," MVG said of this year's competition.

It's hard to believe, it's nothing you can coach or teach, he has that X-factor. Michael Smith was second best.

It's very difficult but Michael Smith is very experienced, but he didn't look like coming.

Littler's scoring was big and his finishing was great, he is going to take some real beating. Littler is a precocious talent, he dealt with that with real aplomb.

  3. 'Anybody's game' - Humphriespublished at 20:04 British Summer Time 23 May

Humphries v Van Gerwen (20:15 BST)

The quartet involved tonight won 14 of the 16 nights in the league phase, and world number one Luke Humphries thinks that will lead to an open finals night.

"The last two weeks I've probably been in the better form than everyone else," said Humphries.

"I’ve got that extra little bit of form in front of me, but you know these are the big occasions so I feel like we've got four players that are all up for the big occasion.

    "It's anybody's game."
