Luke Littler out first, smiling, taking it all in his stride.

Michael Smith even takes time out during his entrance to pose with a lad in a purple Littler shirt. Fair play.

Nice embrace between the two as they meet on the stage.

Here we go then. Two Michaels and two Lukes.

    First up, Littler against Smith.

Goodness me, the O2 is packed, a real sight to behold.

Arguably the four biggest names in darts right now are vying for tonight's title.

Who are you backing? Will Michael van Gerwen claim a record-extending eighth Premier League title?

Will Luke Littler make more history as the first-ever teenager winner of the tournament? Or will Michael Smith or Luke Humphries lift maiden Premier League crowns?

Let us know your thoughts on all the action via the methods outlined above.

  4. 'Van Gerwen will really fancy it'published at 19:18 British Summer Time 23 May

Former BDO world champion on Sky Sports

Michael van Gerwen's priorities have changed from his early days where he was obsessed with being top, now he's just bothered about getting here [to finals' night].

He'll know he hasn't been consistent but he'll back himself to win tonight. He'll really fancy it.

  5. 'I fancy Michael Smith tonight'published at 19:16 British Summer Time 23 May

These four are 180 merchants. Is there anyone better than Michael Smith when following on than him?

Former World Champion, former world number one. I fancy him and he must fancy his chances. I do like a late run. World class performances will come into it but you just have to win your two games.

  6. What's the prize money at stake?published at 19:14 British Summer Time 23 May

The total prize money for Premier League Darts this year is £1m.

All four of the players in the play-offs are guaranteed £85,000, with the winner earning £275,000 and the runner-up £125,000.

The four players who failed to reach the play-offs - Nathan Aspinall, Rob Cross, Gerwyn Price and Peter Wright - earn £75,000, £70,000, £65,000 and £60,000 respectively based on their final position.

Each of the 16 nightly winners in the league stage earned a £10,000 bonus too.

  7. 'We're now seeing Littler's potential'published at 19:12 British Summer Time 23 May

When you actually look back at the World Championships, for Littler's stock to rise after that, is remarkable. That could've been his peak.

You look at the potential he could have had but now, we're seeing it. He's won the Bahrain Masters, topped the league and hit nine-darters along the way.

All he keeps saying is that he is enjoying his darts at the moment and if you keep enjoying what you are doing, you are going to continue to do very, very well.

  8. Is Smith the Nuke's Kryptonite?published at 19:10 British Summer Time 23 May

Luke Littler's well-documented rise to the top of darts has been stratospheric over the past six months - but is semi-final opponent Michael Smith his Kryptonite?

While Littler has brushed aside some of the game's top stars, Smith has dominated the pair's head-to-head record this season, winning five of their seven matches in 2024.

"Michael has got a good record against me, but hopefully I can put that right and win when it really matters," Littler said.

Smith added: "What's happened before doesn't mean anything. But if I can bring my A-game, all three players know they've got a tough game to play."

  9. 'Littler will show a swagger'published at 19:09 British Summer Time 23 May

    Littler v Smith (19:15 BST)

    Mark Webster
Former BDO world champion on Sky Sports

I expect Luke Littler to win his semi-final. Smith's record is very impressive against him but Littler will use the swagger of finishing top of the league.

This is a separate event but he'll want to win and cap off the rollercoaster of the six months he's had.

  10. Underdog tag 'doesn't bother' Smithpublished at 19:08 British Summer Time 23 May

    Littler v Smith (19:15 BST)

World number two Michael Smith goes into finals night as the outsider with the bookmakers but he said that tag "doesn't bother me whatsoever".

"If all the pressure is on them three then I can just relax and chill out," added Smith.

"I still love darts like I did for the first time when I turned pro and I don't think that will ever change."

  11. 'Tonight is the night you need to win'published at 19:06 British Summer Time 23 May

    Wayne Mardle
Former World Championship semi-finalist on Sky Sports

It's not been simple for Michael Smith, who didn't look like he would make the play-offs and unfortunately for Nathan Aspinall, did make it.

Michael van Gerwen did enough to make it. Luke Humphries has been the most consistent but not won as many nights as he maybe should have.

Then, we've got the kid who was never ready, but is.

Tonight is it. This is the night you need to win.

  12. Silverware superstition for Littlerpublished at 19:03 British Summer Time 23 May

    Littler v Smith (19:15 BST)

Teenager Luke Littler, playing in the Premier League for the first time, won four nights on his way to topping the league table with 40 points - a joint-record total in this format.

Littler was at London's O2 Arena on Wednesday for a pre-finals night media day but refused to touch the trophy during the photo opportunity.

"I just don't touch it until I've won it," the 17-year-old told BBC Sport. "It would mean everything to lift the title though.

"We did some filming for the World Championship final and I didn't touch the trophy either, so if I win it, I win it - that's when I'll touch it."

  13. How the table finishedpublished at 19:00 British Summer Time 23 May

A reminder of the regular-season standings, then - a regular season dominated by last year's World Championship finalists.

Luke Littler and Luke Humphries have won half the nights between them to finish comfortably clear of the rest.

Michael van Gerwen also won four match nights but was nowhere near as consistent as the top two, suffering several early exits.

Michael Smith sealed the fourth and final spot in the finals in style by winning the last match night of the season in Sheffield a week ago.

Players secured two points per quarter-final victory, an extra point for winning their semi-final and five if they won the night.

  14. Format for finals nightpublished at 18:56 British Summer Time 23 May

The play-offs feature three games - two semi-finals and the final.

The semi-final line-up is decided by the league table, with first facing fourth and second playing third in a best-of-19-leg tie.

The players that finished first and second in the league stage will have the darts and throw first in the semi-finals.

The final, which is played over 21 legs, follows.

  15. Mighty Mike wants a piece of eightpublished at 18:52 British Summer Time 23 May

Only one of tonight's combatants has his name on the Premier League trophy already.

    But Michael van Gerwen's moniker isn't there just once - it's engraved seven times after triumphs in 2013, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022 and 2023.

He's already overtaken Phil Taylor's record of six titles and could well set a mark that is almost impossible to catch.

Michael Smith's best performance in seven seasons was runner-up to MVG in 2018 while the two Lukes - Littler and Humphries - are making their Premier League debuts this year.

Littler and Humphries are looking to follow Gary Anderson in 2011 and Glen Durrant in 2020 in winning the tournament in their first appearance.

Eight players began. Four remain. But only one can be crowned Premier League Darts champion for 2024.

Across 16 weeks, hundreds of legs have been fought out, thousands of arrows and tons of tungsten flung on the battlefield of the oche.

Tonight, at London's O2 Arena, it all comes to a head.

The only question remains is which man - or, indeed, boy - will be king?
