A14-year-old darts player has been tipped for the top after beating World Champion Luke Littler's record by becoming the youngest ever winner of a World Darts Federation (WDF) event.

Kaya Baysal, from Burnley, who has been playing seriously for less than 18 months, lifted the 2025 Budapest Classic Men's at the weekend.

The WDF said he was 13 days younger than Littler was when he secured the 2021 Irish Open win.

Kaya's coach and manager Keith Brunt said there was nothing stopping him from following in the footsteps of Littler, who became the youngest world darts champion in January at the age of 18.

"He has a lot of work to do but who knows," said Brunt.

Stepen Bunting could be a winner any week now. He didn't have the belief but now he has.

Luke Littler changed his darts, he changed his throw - it was not the norm. What can happen is you are betwixt and between and you don't know what you are doing.

    Result: Bunting 6-5 Littler

    Another very high quality match!

Stephen Bunting was a deserving winner as he averaged 106.43 and hit 50% on the outer ring.

But then Luke Littler pushed him all the way after falling 5-2 behind. He end with an average of 101.39, five 180s and 41.7% on the doubles.

In fact, both players had 12 darts at double - had Littler hit that double nine, it would be him at 50% and through to the final.

Double eight to win it for The Bullet!

The pressure was really on after Littler had come from a way back in the leg thanks to a 180. But Bunting was not going to be denied.

Brilliant effort from the world champion from 5-2 down but, this time, he gave himself a little too much to do.
