  1. Dobey breaks backpublished at 18:26 British Summer Time 17 April

    Dobey 1-1 Humphries

Three straight 140s for Luke Humphries put him in complete control of the leg but somehow he makes a mess of it.

Four darts for the leg go begging and, after hitting the first 180 of the night, Chris Dobey makes him pay.

Double eight for Hollywood to break straight back.

When Luke Humphries raced into a 3-0 lead in last week's final in Manchester, it looked like being a near-perfect night for the world number one.

He averaged an astonishing 118 in thrashing Stephen Bunting in the quarter-finals and battled past his great rival Luke Littler in the semis.

As it was, a Nathan Aspinall fightback meant Humphries had to settle for second and three points that keep him second in the table.

But while Humphries might already have half an eye on the play-offs in London, Chris Dobey hopes of making it to the O2 look increasingly bleak.

He was beaten 6-4 by Michael van Gerwen last week and needs a remarkable run of results to have make the top four.

Could that run start here? Or will Humphries further cement his place in the play-off spots?

  7. This could be Rotterdam, not anywhere..published at 18:17 British Summer Time 17 April

Capable of seating nearly 16,500, Rotterdam Ahoy is a fine venue which has hosted a leg of the Premier League Darts every year since 2016 - except for the Covid-affected 2020 season.

As the only venue in the darts-obsessed country that is the Netherlands during this year's competition, we are expecting a vibrant crowd with representation from across the nation.

Since the move to the current knockout format, no Dutchman has won in Rotterdam. Michael van Gerwen came close in 2022, but was beaten in the final by Joe Cullen.

Nathan Aspinall loves it in Rotterdam, winning this night in each of the last two years. Can he make it a hat-trick, and back-to-back triumphs in the 2025 edition?

  8. How does Premier League Darts work?published at 18:15 British Summer Time 17 April

For those joining us for the first time, this might be helpful...

Every Thursday, the eight players go head-to-head in a straight knockout tournament. So, each player will be entered at the quarter-final stage, before moving to the semi-finals and then a final. Obviously there's only seven players tonight, following Michael van Gerwen's withdrawal.

These matches are all played over the best of 11 legs.

Players take home points from each of these rounds. The winner of the night gets five points, the runner-up three points, and each semi-finalist wins two points.

All eight players are re-entered into the tournament for the next round on the following Thursday.

The players will meet each other once at the quarter-final stage from weeks one to seven, and then again in weeks nine to 15. The matches in weeks eight and 16 will be played based on position in the league at that point.

The four players at the top of the table by the end of night 16 qualify for the play-offs, which take place on Thursday, 29 May.

The semi-finals of the play-offs are played over 19 legs, while the winner is crowned in a final match played across the best of 21 legs.

  13. Premier League table as it standspublished at 18:03 British Summer Time 17 April

Luke Littler can take a giant step towards the play-offs with a win tonight - he could be as many as 18 points clear of fifth place with five rounds to go depending on results.

That mid-table is looking more crowded than ever meanwhile, following Nathan Aspinall's triumph in Manchester last week.
