Luke Littler makes the best players work hard against him and Nathan Aspinall worked hard but couldn't win.

If Littler wins tonight he's pretty much in the play-offs and he's not got to fret about it. I'm still surprised it took him so long to get his first nightly win.

Gerwyn Price averaged just under 103 in that match and took out six of his 10 chances at doubles in that semi-final against Smith.

Of course, the 141 checkout ended a phenomenal nine-dart leg for the Iceman.

That all came after averaging 107.88 against Peter Wright in the quarter-finals.

He is yet to win a night at the Premier League this year but is one leg away from doing so.

Result: Michael Smith 3-6 Gerwyn Price

Gerwyn Price books his place in the final against Luke Littler with a 6-3 victory over Michael Smith!

Without a doubt, Price has been the player of the night so far and on top of his nine-darter in that match looked so in control against Michael Smith, who while he has been struggling with illness, was excellent against Luke Humphries.

He took out 72 to win the final leg, going treble 16, double 12 to win it.

  5. Smith holds on his throwpublished at 22:06 British Summer Time 4 April

    Michael Smith 3-5 Gerwyn Price

Price had the chance to break Smith with a 101 checkout, but misses treble chances at 19 and 14 to allow Smith the chance to hold the leg.

He does exactly that, taking out 56 with a 16 then tops to cut the lead to two.

The next leg is on Price's throw...

Gerwyn Price has been deadly on the outer ring and that is a huge dart.

  7. Price holds onpublished at 22:03 British Summer Time 4 April

    Michael Smith 2-5 Gerwyn Price

What a turnaround that would have been!

Smith gets the chance to break and almost punches in a 170.

Bully Boy lands two treble 20s, but puts the third dart into 25.

Smith has 56 in response, taking it out 16 then tops to put him a leg away from the final.

  8. Smith holds on his throwpublished at 22:02 British Summer Time 4 April

    Michael Smith 2-4 Gerwyn Price

Bully Boy is better on his throw in the sixth leg.

He gets three darts at double 10 and misses all three, but knows he'll get another chance.

Bully Boy needs two more, but does need the second to make it 4-2.

Smith is not completely out of it yet.

  9. Price regains three-leg leadpublished at 22:01 British Summer Time 4 April

    Michael Smith 1-4 Gerwyn Price

On his throw, the Iceman has looked so easily cool on his doubles.

Especially on tops, which he takes out to win the fifth leg of the match.

It seems like quite the task from here on in for Smith.

Price is currently averaging around 108.

    Smith 1-3 Price

    Mark Webster
Former BDO world champion on Sky Sports

Michael Smith is in the game but he needs a couple of breaks.

It still looks a bit of a thankless task and he's not helping himself averaging in the mid 80s.

  11. Smith gets a leg backpublished at 21:59 British Summer Time 4 April

    Michael Smith 1-3 Gerwyn Price

Price teases the idea of another after finding treble 20 with his first two darts of the fourth leg.

Bully Boy even jokingly seemed to say to Price 'give me a chance' after that first visit.

Price looks good and almost checks out 118 but misses on tops, going just over on the final dart.

Michael Smith has a good leg and takes out tops for a 40 checkout to win his first leg of the match.

For Gerwyn Price, he has only made one so far, but has certainly had a lot of near-misses this season.

    Michael Smith v Gerwyn Price

Now to see who will face Luke Littler in tonight's final.

Both men started the night outside of the top four, fifth and seventh respectively in the cases of Michael Smith and Gerwyn Price.

It is a massive chance for both men to go on and pick up three, or possibly even five, points.

  17. Littler gets the job donepublished at 21:44 British Summer Time 4 April

    Result: Aspinall 4-6 Littler

Not a complete performance from Luke Littler, more singular moments of brilliance from the teenager, got him over the line against The Asp.

Checkouts of 131 and 136 and a few runs of high scoring sees him into a final in what he would consider the closest to home soil.

Aspinall has looked good tonight but he was unable to get the job done as Littler is now one win away from going top of the table.

Both men had similar averages narrowly either side of 98. Their checkout percentages were also almost identically around the 35% mark.

  18. Littler beats Aspinall 6-4 to reach finalpublished at 21:41 British Summer Time 4 April

Littler on his throw, misses a match dart for a second leg in a row.

He goes 10, 20 but hits another 20 on 70, with Aspinall only needing 76.

Aspinall gets the chance to break and level up but like Littler, goes low on tops on the final dart.

Littler squirms his second dart on double 10 into the bottom corner of the bed to win the match 6-4.

If we get to a deciding leg then Nathan Aspinall has been involved in five in the Premier League this season and won them all.

  20. Aspinall continues fightbackpublished at 21:39 British Summer Time 4 April

    Aspinall 4-5 Littler

Littler with a stunning leg of scoring. He scores a 171, a 177 and almost checks out a 112, narrowly missing out on tops.

Aspinall remains calm though and wins the leg with an 89 checkout, going treble 19 then double 16.
