    Aspinall 1-1 Cross

Hello! Rob Cross is on for a nine-darter. He starts with a 177 before landing 180.

The crowd are awake as he returns to the oche.

He finds treble 18 and the noise levels rise again. He steadies himself but clips the wire of the treble bed and it slides outside.

He leaves 71 but Nathan Aspinall puts pressure on by getting down to 45.

Cross misses double tops and the Asp returns to take the leg in two darts.

A 42 to start from Rob Cross and then 78 from Nathan Aspinall. Come on now, boys.

Cross then finds 58 before a 180. That's more like it.

Voltage gets down to 87 with Aspinall way back on 206. He misses a single dart at double eight but comes back to clean up with his first dart.

Sam's not wrong. It was a belting rendition of Mr Brightside.

Nathan Aspinall made sure it was too. He skipped up to the stage and made sure he was up there to soak in every moment.

If the result was decided on the reaction to the walk-on song then The Asp has two points in the bag.

They are now singing "na, na, na, Nathan Aspinall, Nathan Aspinall".

Rob Cross has the darts. Game on.

This is a home event for Nathan Aspinall.

No surprise then that the man from Stockport gets a brilliant reception.

He always does as crowds go wild for his walk-on song, Mr Brightside, but there was perhaps a little bit more to it tonight.

Onto the second quarter-final of the night and it could be a big evening for Nathan Aspinall and Rob Cross.

One will be really knocking on the play-off door, while the other will lose valuable ground with just six nights to go after tonight in Manchester.

Cross is yet to make a nightly final this year but he's been pretty consistent in his quarter-finals, while Aspinall has twice made the final but lost.

The pair have met twice in the Premier League this season with Aspinall winning both games. He's actually won his past seven matches against Cross, all in the Premier League over the past two years.

That's one leg chalked off, two to go...

Almost a moment of brilliance from Chris Dobey. He finds double bullseye to leave double 16 for the break, but he fires wide of the wire.

He comes back to clean up with his first dart though.

That's a break back but he needs to win three more legs on the spin.

That's more like it as both players exchange 140s before Michael van Gerwen finds the first 180 of the evening.

Chris Dobey returns for 87 but misses a single dart at the double.

You can't afford to let MVG in, who takes advantage by pinning double tops for a hold.

Early on it felt like Michael van Gerwen was going to blow Chris Dobey away. It doesn't have that feeling anymore.

Dobey is again first down to a finish, but a 60 opens the door again. Van Gerwen can't take advantage and Dobey is allowed to come back.

However he misses double 19 and Van Gerwen comes back to clean up 70 for another break.
