Gary Anderson will have been frustrated. He has to respond quickly because Luke Littler is a really good frontrunner.

Anderson will think he has to win this mini-session at least 3-2.

Luke Littler touched the turbo in that second mini-session and he's pulled away. He's in charge now.

    Breathless stuff in Wolverhampton!

Luke Littler starts with another maximum and then takes out 124 for a 6-4 lead at the next break.

A clench of the fist and a determined stare from Littler as he leaves the stage.

They're both starting to motor now.

Both players hit 180s but Luke Littler is out in 11 darts to retake the lead.

There's a lot of respect on that stage and it may just be warming up to the game we were expecting.

    Luke Littler 4-3 Gary Anderson

Luke Littler leads for the first time, after Gary Anderson misses a shot at double 18 for a 147 finish.

They're the ones Anderson might need to take out if he's going to beat the teenage sensation, who doesn't look like he has quite got going yet, despite averaging close to 100.

    Luke Littler 3-3 Gary Anderson

Gary Anderson misses the bull for a 122 checkout, Luke Littler is way back but Anderson makes a mess of 25 and Littler takes advantage to level the match.

You will have seen and read so much about Luke Littler's exploits this year, so you may be surprised to see that he is not yet ranked in the world's top 16.

Well, the PDC's Order of Merit is based on a two-year rolling cycle of results and ordered by prize money won in ranking events.

Littler has under a year's worth of results to contribute to his ranking, which is why he is currently 18th in the standings - although he will rise considerably thanks to his efforts in Wolverhampton this week.

The teenager took home £275,000 for winning the Premier League and another £80,000 for winning the World Series of Darts finals, but the prize money from those tournaments does not count as they are invitational events.

Very little pressure on Luke Littler to finish off 45 in two darts, but despite taking leg five, the teenager still trails Gary Anderson as they head to the first break.

Even with the composure that Luke Littler has, it will start to irk him if Gary Anderson keeps checking out with his final dart.

    Luke Littler 1-3 Gary Anderson

Luke Littler narrowly misses the bull to take out 95 and Gary Anderson finishes off, again with his last dart, to go 3-1 up.

One more leg before the first break.

    Luke Littler 1-2 Gary Anderson

Luke Littler is on the board, holding throw with a double four.

After a steady pace in the first semi-final, it's picked up a lot in the second.

    Luke Littler 0-2 Gary Anderson

Luke Littler nudges ahead in the second leg but misses an attempt at tops to break back and Gary Anderson finds it at his next visit.

Anderson was outstanding on tops against Gian van Veen on Saturday - it was like a magnet for the Scot's darts.

This was one of the best atmospheres I've ever seen before a match.

Luke Littler will be feeling it right now. It is a great opportunity for Gary Anderson.

I thought Littler looked as good as he has since the Premier League final when he got on stage against Jermaine Wattimena on Saturday but he looked a little nervy today.

We should be in for a cracker here.

Gary Anderson breaks the throw in the opening leg with a successful shot at double 10.

    Luke Littler v Gary Anderson

The Grand Slam of Darts was first staged in November 2007, with players from the now-defunct British Darts Organisation circuit invited to play in the event alongside players from the Professional Darts Corporation.

Gary Anderson, then in the BDO system, played in that inaugural event and lost to eventual champion Phil Taylor in the semi-final.

Luke Littler was 10 months old.

    Here come the players...

Gary Anderson is first. He's a real fan favourite and the crowd gets involved with his walk-on music, which is "Jump Around" by House of Pain.

Luke Littler gets a massive ovation too as the strains of Pitbull's "Greenlight" accompany the teenager to the oche.

The first third of the match will decide who wins between Luke Littler and Gary Anderson.

Anderson has to find his way ahead somehow and then hold onto it.

I can't imagine Littler getting it all his own way like he did in the quarter-finals on Saturday.
