  7. Littler one leg from the finalpublished at 19:47 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

Clayton 5-10 Littler (First to 11)

Clayton's head has gone a bit here, he's dropping his darts at the oche. Littler's pressure has told.

He can't find double top to break back, and Littler finds the finish. He's won five legs in a row without reply in that mini-session, and is one away from the UK Open final.

Clayton 5-9 Littler (First to 11)

Jonny Clayton's shoulders slump after a visit of 39. Luke Littler follows with 140.

I think we are approaching endgame here.

But then Littler throws triple one, single one and single 20! A rare flop.

Clayton can check out with 113... doesn't make it... then neither can Littler.

But Clayton misses again, deliberately overstepping the oche in frustration.

Littler breaks, and is now two legs away from victory.

Clayton has dropped a level here - he throws 60, followed by Littler making yet another 180.

And Littler makes another triple-figure checkout ending on double top. Three legs in a row for the world champ.

A breathtaking 10 legs and credit to Jonny Clayton for hanging in there with Littler averaging close to 110.

    We have a proper semi-final.

The stats make fascinating reading here. Luke Littler is comfortably outscoring Jonny Clayton, averaging 109.94 to the Welshman's 102.12.

The Nuke is chucking the most eye-catching darts, with seven 180s to Clayton's one.

But when it comes to finishes, it is a very different story. Littler has made just five of 22 at doubles, a rate of merely 22.73%. Clayton, meanwhile, has hit five of seven double chances.

Littler is entertaining, but Clayton has been by far the more efficient on the outer ring.

Littler is averaging over 110, but Jonny Clayton is throwing almost as well.

There's a muted atmosphere at Butlin's the fans hopefully entranced by high-quality darts.

Clayton checks out with double top, and goes into the break all square. You can't split these men yet.

Littler's scoring has been excellent - he throws a sixth 180 in this leg. But his finishing has been very poor.

He has a chance to break back with a check-out of 124 here though - and completes it with bull! Much better.

Luke Littler throws his fifth 180 of the match to open leg seven. He's keeping this pretty partisan Minehead crowd entertained.

Clayton is keeping tabs though, and has a chance as Littler misses double six.

And with a 46 check-out, Clayton breaks to lead for the first time!
