    Noppert 1-1 Joyce

Ryan Joyce just has to hold his throw to level the match, but another 180 from Danny Noppert puts him comfortably in front in this leg.

Two more treble 20s leave Noppert the chance to take out 54 for an 11-dart leg.

Noppert gives Joyce a reprieve, again missing doubles 20 and 10.

Joyce gets one dart at double 16 and he takes it for the set!

    Noppert 1-0 Joyce (2-2)

Danny Noppert starts the fourth leg of the second set with a 180 and when dart four only finds a single 20, the sarcastic boos from the Alexandra Palace crowd come.

Noppert remains in control of the leg, picking out treble 18 to recover from a stray dart into treble seven.

With six darts to see off 131, the first three leave 74.

    Noppert 1-0 Joyce (1-2)

  4. Joyce breaks Noppert with a 14-dart legpublished at 19:37 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Noppert 1-0 Joyce (1-1)

A couple of two-treble visits from Ryan Joyce allow him the chance to break back in this second set, even after having to put a flight back into his dart as it flew out mid throw.

Joyce gets at least six darts to see off 164 and with the first three, he leaves himself a double 18 finish.

Joyce breaks it with his second go at the double in a 14-dart leg.

I’ve been here every night so far and this is the most buzz I’ve felt. The Nuke is in the building.
