Summary

  1. Price targets Premier League glorypublished at 19:44 British Summer Time 15 May

With a Premier League play-off spot already secured prior to his contest with Stephen Bunting tonight, Gerwyn Price is a man content with the state of his game at present.

The Welshman sits third in the table - behind world champion Luke Littler and world number one Luke Humphries - having shone so far in a campaign that includes nightly wins in Dublin, Nottingham and Liverpool.

The 40-year-old is now in his seventh Premier League campaign and Price is targeting glory for the first time, having come closest in 2023 when he was edged out by Michael van Gerwen at London's O2 Arena.

"It's all on the night, everybody knows that. One minute you can play brilliantly and the next it's not there," he told BBC Sport Wales.

"There'll be a lot of practice leading up to The O2 and fingers crossed I can bring some form."

  2. 'Pressure off' Price as Bunting plays for pridepublished at 19:42 British Summer Time 15 May

    Price v Bunting

Gerwyn Price will make his second play-off appearance later this month, having finished as runner-up in 2023.

Ther Welshman is secure of his spot in London having claimed a hat-trick of nightly wins in Dublin, Nottingham and Liverpool this season.

Price could be set to experiment with a new set-up as he continues his preparation for The O2.

"The pressure is off a bit now, but I still want to win," he said. "I might be using a new set of darts, but we'll see how I feel."

Bunting memorably defeated Price in the Berlin final last month for his one night win this season, but he is now playing for pride after his hopes of a top four finish were ended in Leeds.

    Van Gerwen 3-6 Aspinall

Nathan Aspinall stands with head bowed, taking in this win, before celebrating by throwing his flights to the crowd.

This win means he will finish tonight in fourth place, with a play-off spot in his hands going into the final night next Thursday.

Michael van Gerwen winks to the crowd and exits the stage. The seven-time champion is still without a night win in 2025, and in serious danger of missing the play-offs. He will be displaced in the top four by Aspinall tonight.

Nathan Aspinall has averaged more than 105 in this match, MVG is below three figures. The Englishman has been better throughout the majority of this match.

A first real show of emotion from either man after the fifth leg, a big fist pump and roar from Michael van Gerwen.

The Dutchman is on his game now, reaching a 164 finish despite Aspinall recording a maximum.

MVG can't finish through, so the Asp can check out with 140...

T20, T20... D10! Huge from Aspinall to break again.

  12. Van Gerwen breakspublished at 19:29 British Summer Time 15 May

    Van Gerwen 2-3 Aspinall

Nathan Aspinall has finished fifth in the last two Premier League seasons. He wants to end that streak this year and finally make the play-offs.

Van Gerwen has a chance to break with a 170 finish, but can't find it.

Aspinall, after his first 180 of the night, has 80 to check out - but he's also off the mark!

    Van Gerwen 1-3 Aspinall

You suspect Van Gerwen really has to win this leg.

But a visit of 43 is not what he needs, the Dutchman looking despondent. He's not finding the trebles nearly often enough.

He misses the bull for a checkout, and Aspinall can break again with 78 here...

No, he's too high for double top! That allows MVG to sneak onto the scoreboard.

    Van Gerwen 0-3 Aspinall

That was a 12-dart leg to break there from Nathan Aspinall. He's found his range nice and early, and is taking his time at the biggest throws - not letting the pressure show.

Van Gerwen knows he has to get on the board sharpish, and sets up a 154 finish - with Aspinall lurking on 41.

MVG can't find the big score, huge chance for Aspinall... and he takes it!

    Van Gerwen v Aspinall

Here we go. The first match of the night, and arguably the biggest.

Nathan Aspinall has his game face on as he takes the stage to Mr Brightside by The Killers. He's the underdog here in placings, rankings and history - but it's all about these next few legs.

He's followed up to the oche by Michael van Gerwen, entering to Seven Nation Army. Both entrance songs are heartily sung along to by the Aberdeen crowd. It sounds like a cracking atmosphere.
