It's all over for today for Great Britain wheelchair fencer Dimitri Coutya in the men's sabre B category.

In a battle of Dimitri v Dmytro, it is the Ukrainian eighth seed Dmytro Serozhenko who progresses after a closely-contested tie that ended 15-13.

Coutya told BBC Sport: "Even though there were some very close calls today, I lost fair and square to people that are better than me and, in all honesty, given sabre isn't my favoured weapon out of the three that I'm competing in this week, I'm really happy with the control and consistency of performance I've shown."

Coutya returns in the individual foil event on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, in the women's sabre A, Gemma Collis has also just been knocked out 15-10 by home favourite Brianna Vide.

Piers Gilliver is currently in semi-final action in the men's sabre A...

A short while ago, GB's Ellie Challis finished fourth in the S3 100m freestyle final, 24 hours after winning 50m backstroke gold.

Challis won on Monday 15 minutes before her Paris room-mate Louise Fiddes took the SB14 100m breaststroke title.

"I would have liked to have been faster than that tonight but it wasn't the night for me and that's OK," Challis told BBC Sport.

"Fourth is never easy to deal with but after yesterday, dreams come true - gold and gold with my room-mate - I really couldn't have asked for more from this competition.

"I'm only 20 years old, this is my second Games and there is way more to come."

In the field, Ukraine's Maksym Koval (men's F20 shot put), American Ezra Frech (men's T63 high jump), and India's Sundar Singh Gurjar (men's F46 javelin) have all produced unbeaten marks.

    Wheelchair basketball men's quarter-final - Great Britain 38-35 Australia

This has been fast and furious - and it remains a very, very tight match at Bercy Arena.

But Great Britain have managed to extend their advantage - although only marginally - over Australia from one point after the first quarter to three at halfway after Kyle Marsh makes a couple of free throws.

GB are having to work hard for this and there is still a long way to go to hold out for a semi-final spot.

Hewett and Reid will go head-to-head with Fredderic Cattaneo and Stephane Houdet of France on Wednesday.

Hewett said: "It was a lot of fun. We've not played them [the Netherlands' team] before, which is sort of unique.

"We really came out the blocks firing and they grew into it as the match went on. I'm just glad that we raised our level when they did and I think it produced a really good match."

Reid added: "We're just really excited to come up against them [France]. It was one of our dreams before the tournament to come up against the local favourites."
