King's Lynn Town midfielders Luke Thurlbourne and Kieran Doherty have been cleared of racism by the Norfolk Football Association.

Three St Neots players alleged that they were racially abused by the pair in a league match on 16 April.

But a five-man panel decided neither player was guilty of the accusation.

"I always thought the lads weren't gong to be found guilty, there's never been a hint of racism," joint manager Gary Setchell told BBC Radio Norfolk.

"I think it was fairly cut and dry once the evidence had been heard, the St Neots stories didn't match up quite frankly.

"Our club's name hasn't been tarnished because the Norfolk FA has reached the right decision."

The club still has to face a separate hearing on 23 June following a crowd disturbance at the Walks during a match against Coalville on 2 April.
