Truro City must 'stop the rot' says boss Lee Hodges

Truro City boss Lee Hodges says his side 'must stop the rot' after losing their third successive match.

The White Tigers lost 1-0 to Dorchester Town thanks to Nick Crittenden's 73rd minute goal on Monday.

It followed a 4-1 drubbing at struggling Havant and Waterlooville with Scott Walker's late penalty the only consolation in a poor performance.

"We've got to make sure that we stop the rot and get something from Maidenhead on Saturday," Hodges said.

"It was a very disappointing performance," the Truro boss said after the loss at home to Dorchester.

"These are the kind of games you must take points from and we're bitterly disappointed that we've come away with nothing."

Truro won their opening three matches as they made their debut in the Blue Square South.

But Hodges' side have played six games in 16 days, an amount which has baffled the former Plymouth Argyle and Torquay United defender.

"Considering you've got nine or 10 months in a season and they decide to fit all these games in in the first three weeks it's a little bit of a hard task.

"We've come up a division but the standard is a whole lot different to what quite a few of them have been used to for a little while," he added.
