Harrogate Town manager Simon Weaver is demanding more fight from his players when they play FC Halifax on Saturday.

Weaver saw his side beaten 4-0 at Histon in Blue Square Bet North in their last game and has told his players they need to do much better.

Weaver told BBC Radio York, external: "That's a massive game in Harrogate Town's history for me.

"We want to give it everything. First challenges have to be won and the passionate lads will play."

He added: "We've got to fight and we want to beat Halifax. We've got a massive crowd to play in front of.

"I'd be massively hurt by the scoreline [at Histon] and just when you're thinking there's some flickers of hope and these new lads are setting in it's put us back a bit.

"We've got to lick our wounds and assess if everyone is toeing the line in terms of attitude."
