Truro City scored seven first-half goals as they beat Farnborough Town 8-2 to record their biggest Blue Square Bet South win.

Jack Collins gave the visitors a fifth-minute lead but Scott Walker equalised with a penalty eight minutes later.

Stewart Yetton put Truro ahead before Les Afful hit two and Andy Watkins, Yetton and Barry Hayles all struck.

Watkins scored an eighth in the second half as Adam Bygrave got one back for the visitors.

"I don't think I've played in anything like that or seen anything like that. It was incredible, especially after the first five minutes when we didn't start very well," manager Lee Hodges told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"It was the best 45 minutes since I've been at the club. It was incredible to watch and it was hard for me to go in there and know what to say to them at half-time really. It was one of the easiest team talks I've ever had to make."

The victory moves Truro up to eighth place in the table, with Farnborough in 19th.
