Striker Kyle Perry happy for longer AFC Telford United stay

Telford beat a number of Blue Square Bet Premier clubs to sign Kyle Perry

Striker Kyle Perry says he would love to be part of AFC Telford United's long-term future, after his current loan expires at the end of the season.

Perry is in his second spell at the Bucks Head after joining on loan from Lincoln last week.

He previously played for Telford under Bernard McNally in 2004, helping them gain promotion to the Unibond Premier.

"The type of people, the club, the manager. I'd like my future to be here," he told BBC Radio Shropshire.

"It's a fantastic club and it's going places and I want to be part of that. This season hasn't gone to plan, but coming here is exactly what I need. I was humbled by the reception I received from the Telford fans on Saturday."

The recent managerial change at Sincil Bank saw David Holdsworth push Perry to up his fitness levels - and the Imps boss has decided a loan spell at Telford will be good for the player and for his club.

The 25-year-old scored 17 goals for Tamworth last season before joining Lincoln under former manager Steve Tilson.
