Truro City boss Lee Hodges happy with draw at Bromley

Truro City manager Lee Hodges says he is pleased that the side have ended their run of three straight defeats after a 1-1 draw at Bromley.

Andy Watkins headed in Scott Walker's free-kick just before half time to give City the lead.

But Pierre Joseph-Dubois equalised for the hosts just after the hour-mark.

"It was a game we couldn't afford to lose and if we'd have come here before and said we're going to take a point I'd have been happy," said Hodges.

"I thought second half we edged it and we possibly could have nicked one right at the death, if anyone was going to score it looked like us.

"The boys dug in deep and I'm pleased to end the rot of three defeats," he added to BBC Radio Cornwall.

City, who had only 12 first-team players available for the match, are still the subject of a transfer embargo after financial problems.

The club have now paid off a tax debt of more than £100,000 and Hodges hopes that the embargo will be lifted quickly.

"We still don't officially know when that will be but hopefully that'll be soon and then I can get one or two boys in to help out," Hodges continued.

"We want to stay in the league and compete as best as we can.

"These boys are giving everything they've got and they just need a little help now and again to have a rest and let someone else have a go."
