Dagenham & Redbridge demolished Rotherham to secure a second consecutive victory in League Two.

Dwight Gayle thrashed the ball home to put Daggers ahead but Lee Frecklington almost levelled with a volley.

Luke Howell's effort - after great work down the left from from Oluwafemi Illesanmi - doubled their lead before Howell turned home his second for 3-0.

Medy Elito's drilled strike and Gayle's injury-time header then sealed a miserable day for the Millers.

Evans laments 'worst defeat'

"It was a shambles from start to finish and it was as poor as it could be.

"There's a severe lack of effort, commitment and passion in the things we say that we need to get in place. There are no excuses and we can only apologise.

"That's the worst performance I've had as a manager."
